Genuinely curious if you still root for Dalvin Cook or AP?

I never wanted the Cook extension. It was a terrible deal for a player who doesn’t stay healthy. Frankly they could trade him for a day 2 pick next year and I’d be content with it.

So, has ideal size, length, and attitude, but marginal athletic ability, body control, and movement skills.   Where does he fit on the OL?

52 career starts at LT over four and a half years in college. I think that pretty much puts him as a tackle exclusive player, particularly with his size/length and is likely a backup to Darrisaw/O'Neill.

Obviously you never want to see your starting tackles get injured, but if that happens I think its one of those positions you really want to make sure you have someone who can step in and step up. With the kind of experience Lowe has you're probably hoping he can be that guy to be "ready" if that moment comes and not be overwhelmed.

As others have mentioned, it sounds like he is likely to be a responsible dude and has some real reasons to "want it" and work hard to at least remain on an NFL roster.

Thanks.  Just one analyst’s take, but the marginal athletic and movement skills comment had me questioning if he could play T.  Late round Tackles with experience and marginal athletic profile make me wonder about upside.  Brandel got on the field some  as a rookie and Udoh could be in play as a back up tackle, so trying to figure out how they see him fitting in on the OL picture

Yeah I think given the athleticism of Ed Ingram for a pulling guard (and being drafted in the 2nd) probably assures they're just looking for Lowe to be an emergency/depth player at tackle. I think the size and length along with clearly some real experience at the LT spot is what you're hoping you can develop enough to make you not lose sleep at the thought of either Darrisaw or O'Neill going down and Lowe stepping in. From a contractual standpoint the Vikings are set at both tackle spots, so I just dont see any reason this isnt much more than depth and development kind of pick. Too hard to get these kind of guys in free agency and I dont think LT is the kind of position you want to bring someone into the fold last minute either, so assuring you have a solid "understudy" seems wise to me.
