Pickens has more upside.   Dean has proven more and has a higher floor.   WR was a much bigger need.   Pickens is a bigger risk, but Dean isnt a sure thing either.  If he was, he wouldn't have fell to the 3rd.

Im fine with Pickens, and wouldve been fine with Dean.

I'll add I don't think Pickens or Austin were reaches. I also don't think there was superior players at those spots.  The players available might have been in the same tier but not superior talents. I think the wr spot was the superior need though. Not a bad draft  but like I first said it ignored our biggest hole on the roster.
