He’s a punter.  You don’t need a ******* a scouting report for a punter.  If you do, let me know, and I’ll make sure to buy you some water wings so that you don’t drown the next time you eat soup.

What about his athletic traits, RAS, and combine numbers? 3 cone is really important for punters.

Your water wings are on their way.  I’m sending them to Toledo with a note saying give to JAF.  I’m sure they’ll know what to do.

Bio

Gill walked on at N.C. State after excelling in soccer and football at Cedar Ridge High School in Hillsborough. He redshirted in 2017 and played in one game in 2018 before receiving his scholarship prior to the 2019 season, going on to earn third-team All-ACC honors after ranking third in the FBS with a school-record 47.6 yards per punt (56-2,663, 17 fair catches, 16 inside the 20-yard line, seven touchbacks, one blocked). Gill was the team's starter in 2020 (52-2,334-44.9, 18 fair catches, 18 inside the 20, six touchbacks, one blocked) and was named to the AFCA Allstate Good Works Team for his community service. He landed first-team all-conference accolades as a senior for the Wolfpack, averaging 45.1 yards per punt (65-2,930, 23 fair catches, 31 inside the 20, five touchbacks). Gill was also a kickoff specialist for three years, creating 114 touchbacks on 198 kicks and made four tackles in coverage.

Overview

Punter with good size but an average leg and mediocre control by NFL standards. He has the physical tools, but lacks consistency with his coffin-corner kicks and distance with his open-field punting. Gill improved over the second half of the season and will need to continue on that path to make an NFL roster.

Strengths

Three-year punter with sturdy frame.

Adequate hang time with improvements likely.

Displayed better touch after incorporating higher volume of nose-drop punts.

Weaknesses

Touch-to-toe time is a shade slow.

Disappointing net punting average of just 41.5 yards in 2021.

Will pull punts left and out of bounds.

Inconsistent ball striker for distance.

Don’t thank me, I’m just one man.

What i seen on him is he does not have the biggest leg, struggles with corner punts, but really improved in the 2nd half last year..... take that for what you will.

I don't know anything about him but he was one of the few picks I agree with based on need alone. It's only a 7th round pick so it's not a big deal if don't work out.

What does this even mean lol? It's a PUNTER!

I feel like this was def just one of those scouting reports from someone trying too hard to sound smart.

It means good luck running past him when our kick coverage fails after he shanks a 27 yard punt

So he can absorb the impact better with his sturdy frame?  That makes sense. Especially considering he'll most likely be seeing the field a lot.
