Well, we're going to need to find a TE now. Brate/Otton is not going to be good enough.

Tbh I think it'll be fine

Brate has always been underrated,  Even when Gronk missed time ,specifically that redskins wildcard game,  brate was killing it

He won't be as explosive as Gronk was. But he's reliable and will come close to any production Gronk would hv had.

The biggest impact I think this will have is that Gage is going to see heavy targets as the WR3.

The start of the season might be rough without Godwin and Gronk, and Fournette coming in out of shape. So hopefully White gets quick chemistry with Brady, and Leftwhich/Brady get creative.

Same. If Gronk came back, honestly, what do we all think he had left? He was beat up bad last year and honestly, cannot blame him for retiring. Those injuries take a toll both physically and mentally. I live down here and I heard that the injuries he had he couldnt even move for a few weeks. Was basically on bed rest. At 32-33 years old.

That's not at all what he said. If you read his post he said he thinks Trask is every bit as good as Jones. He didn't say as good as he was in 2021-2022 season, he's saying skill-set wise.

I think everyone knew Jones was about as day-1 starter ready of a QB prospect as there was last year vs. a guy like Trask who was always thought of as a developmental talent.

Doesn't mean 3-5 years down the road Jones will still be the better player.

Based off what though? I suggest you go back and watch the JT Osullivan in depth breakdowns on QB's. It's very good and he highlights everything.

And honestly, you could be right making those claims or any claims. My question is in the now: based off what film study or any evaluation do you say backs this up?

Not really following what you're asking here? You say based off what, but that question shouldn't really be directed to me and I certainly don't wan to answer for someone else.  I was explaining to you what @BucsDraftGeek47was referencing in his post, as you seemed to be misinterpreting his original response.

If you're asking for my take I'd be happy to provide.

Anyone see the article on PR about us in the market to trade for a TE?

https://www.pewterreport.com/bucs-could-target-tight-end-via-trade/

Mentions Dalton Shultz for a 3rd

I'd do that so fast....

Nah, save the draft capital and develop the younger guys. We have 10MM in cap space which is enough to fill holes in case we get some injuries at certain positions.

With this potentially being Bradys last year in Tampa - going to need as much draft capital to potentially get a QB next year as well.

I honestly think we leave TE alone until after preseason. Maybe a Kyle Rudolph acquisition that is cheap and gives us an experienced blocker and receiver if the young guys dont show any sort of mental readiness to play. I can see us actually making a move for Julio Jones if Godwin's progress isn't on track for week 1. Even if it is, i wouldnt expect Godwin to be near 100% ready til mid year

He never wanted to comeback to Tampa. He was forced lol

So now the retirement, then coming back and bruce arians “going upstairs” makes perfect sense

Except it's being reported the communications from Ross and trying to recruit Brady date back to 2019, when he was still under contract with the Pats. and The communications from 2021 revolved around him being a limited partner vs. playing for them.

Yeah He mentally checked out in NE that last year and was actively looking.  The plan was to go to San Fran but they rejected him. Then he chose Tampa for 2020. The plan for 2022 was for him and Sean Payton to “retire” and find their way to Miami this year but it blew up on them
