That goes to Wilson as only a solid WR next season, barring sophomore slump. Getting Carr and Thomas wont' slow down young movement. Or is he not being used right and has awful QB play? I think as a talent he’s great. Just needs a guy to get him the ball. Mims I can agree needs to show more. He got opportunity finally this year and did little with it. But once again that goes back to Qab play. Davis I can take or leave. At his salary and his talent. He’s not bad. Factor in his injuries every year and that’s where I could agree to cut him. But you don’t cut him without a replacement. He’s a starter for us when healthy. And those blocking WRs are key for us in the run game as well. Which often gets overlooked with Davis and Mims. It was on display when Breece was back there. But didn’t show after. Breece will be back. Berrios for me was the disappointment. Luckily he came back on a cheaper deal. But was average on ST and offered very little in the passing game. And please let Jeff Smith go finally. So my thoughts are if we cut Davis. Yes I’d look at WR early. Probably a big bodied guy. But if we don’t. Yeah. offense is in mess but both Moore and Carter shared their own faults for their backward result this year. You know the common in NFL as if you are struggling, they ignore you. For sure, with better qb, our WR would be solid but having Thomas aboard would push Jets to next level. I hope not about drafting WR to be 6th/special returner. That spots belong to UDFA. In 2 years we have not improved except that the O and D picked up some blue chip players who made us competitive. This happened in spite of the coaching staff. The O went from 28-27th in 2022 (and how much of that can we attribute to B.H.?) so our OC is just terrible. Coaches which don't know how to coach, I refer you to the Q game blow up, after a team meeting to clear the air the D goes on to near elite status. But not because of the coaching staff. 4 QB whisperers in year one of Zach's development. We need to replace the staff...I have to agree with you. The only thing saving JD's bacon is the immeasurable success of the past draft and his penchant to pick up quality cuts or FA. I do think though we move off of Davis…just can’t stay healthy. Amazing how I was pounding for Daboll not only bc I thought he’d be a great HC but what he could turn Wilson into. Now look at the NYG and Jones.
