I'm not sure anyone should ever buy anything that comes out in the last week before the draft.

Honestly, anything after the combine should be heavily scrutinized. Especially when talking about teams who aren’t picking in the top 5.

You can usually glean some really good information during the combine. Coaches and GMs tend to be more relaxed or have their guard down a bit during that portion of the process. But after that is when the walls come up and the misinformation machine comes out.

For example, the comments from O’Connell at the combine regarding Zay Flowers and Anthony Richardson stick in my brain. And as we sit here Monday, I’m pretty sure that my final prediction for Thursday night is going to be the Vikings selecting Zay Flowers.

King has us taking Richardson at 23. I personally would love that.

He also has Hooker going before Richardson which i find surprising, seems like a lot of draft fellas like Hooker more than the general public.

That’s because Hooker will be a better QB..

Depends upon the situation.  Hooker is guaranteed to be better out of the gate, but long-term, we'll see.  Like I said before, I question him immensely, because it took him so long to actually get to where he was, therefore, I question where he goes at this level.

He'll definitely have a shorter leash at the NFL level than he did in college, therefore, if he even develops into a starter at all, I believe it's short term, and he'll end up as just a quality backup.

Trade Kirk Cousins to 49’s for Trey Lance and a 2nd or 3rd round pick

Trade Z Smith and D Cook to Denver for J Juedy and a 3rd rd pick.  Maybe wont get the pick

Sign high end veteran backup QB to start the season if necessary.

Needs:  CB, Edge, DT, LB, WR

Draft Cushes:

Do whatever needed to go get Jalen Carter if he slides to the early teens.  Not Aaron Donald but maybe not far from it.

Do whatever needed to get Joey Porter JR if he slides to late teens.

IF we stay at 23:

Myles Murphy Edge Clemson, maybe Keion White Edge Georgia Tech (or best fit/value)

Deonte Banks CB Maryland  (or best CB fit)

Bijan Robinson RB Texas (could be the steel of the draft)

Brian Branch S Alabama

Here is what I came up with about a week or so ago.

So, the Vikings should bring back Henry Ruggs once he gets out of prison (if he gets convicted), so they can have 4 of the top 5 WRs from the 2020 Draft?

Zay Flowers played four years at Boston College, during which they never had a winning record. Flowers, who is expected to be a first-round draft pick on Thursday night, was the best wide receiver in the ACC and easily could have transferred to one of the elite programs in college football, but he chose not to. And Boston College’s coach says that has helped his draft stock.

Boston College coach Jeff Hafley told Ben Volin of the Boston Globe that he has spoken to NFL coaches who have told him they’re impressed that Flowers wanted to finish what he started at Boston College, at a time when the NCAA has made it easier than ever for players to transfer.

Hafley: “He represents loyalty and commitment in a day and age in college football when those are rare. I know for a fact there were some big schools that I know very well who they were and how much they were offering him. He came to me and told me he didn’t want to leave, which is hard for a kid to turn down. And now in return he’s going to make more money because of it, because every head coach that I talk to wants a loyal guy, wants a guy they know they can count on.”
