These are the possibilities for week one

Away Opponents

@ Dallas Cowboys
@ New York Giants
@ Washington Commanders
@ Chicago Bears
@ Detroit Lions
@ Houston Texans
@ Indianapolis Colts
@ Arizona Cardinals

considering the NFL uses templates to do this and we often get the same week 1.

Its either Commies (2020@, 2019H, 2017@, 2013@), Texans (2006@) or Giants (2004H) as the only two teams they’ve played week 1 since realignment that are on the 2022 away schedule. But could always get a one off, or new Home/away series which is how they seem to do those two team ones.

Full list….

Commies - 2020@, 2019H, 2017@, 2013@

Texans - 2006@

Atlanta - 2021@, 2018H, 2015@, 2005@

Browns - 2016H, 2012@

Rams - 2011@, 2008H

Packers - 2010H, 2007@

Jags - 2014H

Panthers - 2009@

Giants - 2004H

Bucs - 2003H

Titans - 2002@

Home - 8

Away - 12 + this year

At Washington week 1, book it

Probably right. I wanted to start our season off with a bang against Wentz in Philly on prime time MNF. I wanted to hear a raucous crowd booing the crap out of him. Oh well. I’d settle for a week 1 win in that dumpster fire of a stadium. Gotta just stay away from the railings and hope their field doesn’t claim one of our players as a victim.

I'm so tired of playing them week 1.

Like @Kiltman pointed out it’s been them or the Falcons the past 5 years. I don’t get why the NFL doesn’t switch it up more. Like what is the reasoning behind scheduling basically the same match-ups? How is that great for ratings?

I think my ideal week 1 would probably be facing the Cardinals without DeAndre Hopkins. It’s also our farthest game out west, so might as well get that taken care of out the gate.

No clue, it’s dumb.

I guess it helps some east coast fans that don’t want to stay up even later on a Monday night, but with that said it should’ve been a west coast March-up for that very reason. I just don’t get why ESPN/ABC wild cannibalize their own ratings Ike that.

Also, @Jeezla you might be in luck with no Aikman since him and Buck will probably get the Bills Titans (bigger match-up) on ESPN which is the normal channel for MNF.
