If we're just talking one year, it's Kupp. His regular season + postseason is probably the best from a WR we've ever seen.

Out of the options there, it's probably Calvin.

Kupp is great but one great year does not make a player the 3rd best of all time.

The post makes the assumption that Jerry Rice and Randy Moss had the single best WR seasons of all time, and now we have to figure out the 3rd best.

Is that accurate? I'm not sure.

I get that Rice should be rated #1 WR, and Moss is probably #2 although that's debatable. But I'm not sure either one has had a season that stands above the rest. Moss's 2007 was incredible with 23 TDs but even then I don't think he was quite as dynamic as he was in 1998, 2000, and 2003 when he had much worse QBs.

Weird and confusing question.

So here's my thought process...

"Oh it's gotta be Calvin Johnson."

reads the thread about Cooper Kupp

"Well, Cooper Kupp outproduced Calvin with the same exact QB throwing him the ball and just shattered numerous receiving records"

So yeah, I'm going to go Kupp here since it's just a 1-year peak.
