I would hope so…I would be happy to discuss giving up the 9th overall pick for Simmons & something coming the other way.

That trade would finally put stock in insights the bears overreactors are saying that we are already a playoff team. Something I’ve never agreed with and still wouldn’t agree with with Simmons, but if we got him I think we are at least competitive and not embarrassing ourselves anymore. Still need to address edge, cb2, RT and depth around. And, of course, bring back Robbie to a 7 year max deal and draft a hall of fame TE. Im honestly surprised that you all are still looking at any WRs at this point After the nearly barren wasteland that is the Bears history at WR, we finally get a Legitimate Top 20 guy, and you are all suddenly very greedy Personally Im looking elsewhere to enhance this roster, rather than continue to pile on the one spot we have just made 2 major moves in the last few months

That’s a round 3+ pick for me. I’d LOVE to have JSN on this roster but it’d be more of a luxury pick right now than even Bijan Robinson would be. Poles will draft according to his board but I’ll be genuinely shocked if at least 2 of the first 4 picks aren’t OL/DL. At least. I’d endorse using all 4 there personally.

IMO yes...say we could trade a 2nd for Aiyuk then trade say Mooney to a team needing speed like the Chargers for a 3rd...that is worth exploring IMO...might come to nothing but IMO Aiyuk is a better player and better fit in this offence.

A player traded when he was still perceived to be at his peak for the maximum return possible, putting the Seahawks in the same place they would’ve been with him but with considerably more draft capital and cap. And a player kept beyond the point of usefulness, diminishing his value considerably by having his best receiving option be a raw mid round receiver. The packers in the 2023 Draft trading him now will have less options than what they would’ve gotten for this year if they’d traded him before last draft. Last year, I imagine they could’ve gotten two firsts and extras between rounds 2 and 4. Now, a mere first round pick isn’t even on the table.
