They won 7 games last year in a stronger division than it'll be this year playing PJ Walker, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield and coached by Matt Rhule for 5 games. They added solid offensive players- Chark, Sanders, Thielen, Mingo, Hurst- to go along with an already good defense. I hope you're right but I'd be shocked if they won 5 games or less, even if Young misses a lot of games due to injury.

Is it though? Yes Brady is gone from Tampa, but he wasnt "Brady" anymore last year, and they are still trying to go at it holding together what was there with shoestring and duct tape, could that crash and burn this season? Sure, but they arent waiving the white flag, and they should have an actual OL this year. The Falcons arent going to be any worse than they were last year, regardless of what you think about Ridder (plus Hinekie is a real upgrade over Mariota, just depends when he gets to play) plus they added a ton of vets to the defense, who was possibly worse than ours last year. And the Saints think they are going for it, but Carr is for sure better than what they were running out there with Dalton/Hill.

You talk like Young is an immediate upgrade on what they had last year, and I dont think its all that different. I think for the next 4-9 years he was the play, but hes likely going to have a pretty big adjustment, and other than Baker, PJ and Darnold werent awful last year. They werent good, you cant stick with them and think you are building a winner. But they won some games for them, especially Darnold. (who also lost them some games)

Sanders for Forman is a slight upgrade, but they also started he year with McCaffery, seems like a wash since they will probably be playing Hubbard plenty too. And Chark is a Massive downgrade from Moore, if he is even able to stay on the field. Good for Hurst getting his money, but he isnt some game changer, and Adam Thielen is beyond washed.

They could absolutely be back with 7 wins (which netted them a Top 10 pick remember) but they could absolutely be worse than that, especially implementing an entirely new coaching staff

Certainly I won't argue. Until games are played, nobody knows, but it was a 7 win team who has a better QB (Mayfield, Walker and Darnold barely had more TD's than INT's and their ypa collectively was awful iirc), added weapons (despite losing Moore) and a better head coach. I wouldn't doubt 7 wins again, but 7 wins isn't a bottom 5 team like Mike said

Top 5 would be projecting Young to have big Rookie struggles (not out of the question) but their weapons are not close to what they had last year. DJ Moore might be a bigger loss to than than he is an addition to us. Which is saying something.

Plenty up in the air, but saying Top 10 isn’t out of the question, and they are one or two big injuries away from a Top 5 pick

I’m expecting we end up with 2 picks in the 10-18 range next year. It’s possible we end up with at least one earlier than that, and possibly (but hopefully not) two.

Chiefs just keep turning up the pressure on everyone else...as a RT Smith is a solid upgrade over Wylie.

And having Mahomes compared to a 45 year old Brady makes for a hell of an upgrade too. Mahomes' escapability is elite.
