dll2000
Bengals fans got wrong end officiating in that game. To say the least. Chris Jones won the dang game again for KC. He won their SB too. Chiefs got Mahomes, Jones, Kelce and Tyreek Hill way lower than they should have gone in hindsight and that is main reason they are competing for SB near ever year. Plus Andy Reid. Eagles are in way better position to win SB. Chiefs are beat up and limping their way in. The KC OL is going to have problems and the standing WRs aren’t that good. dll2000
How to Eagles rebuild such a stacked team? They have made a lot of nice moves in a short period of time.

You trade picks to acquire future ones, you prioritize OL and DL, and most importantly you find a QB

But they did a lot outside draft too. Especially on D. Big one is they added Brown on O. But on d they have added starters Joseph, Hargrave, Reddick, White, Slay, Gardner-Johnson, Epps and Bradberry. And Suh in DL rotation. 9 guys. Not even counting Quinn. That is a lot of talent on D coming in. If healthy they near arguably field two defenses better than 2022 Bears. dll2000
Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis don’t play on 2022 Eagles defense. That is how stacked they are. LOL

He seems fine to me. He has the occasional gaffe, kind of trips over his words. But I like him too. I think Olsen is a more natural commentator and has a better voice (does Romo mumble? Sometimes I feel like I miss what he is saying) but I have no actual issues with Romo outside of the occasional line where he forgets where he was going. 'The wizard is wizardy' or whatever. I actually got a laugh at that one. Madden was endeared for some of his dumb stuff.
dll2000
Eagles and 49ers are evidence that a great team can make not great QBs look great. Hurts is good, but not great. He couldn't beat out Tua in a head to head competition and Tua is not great. Purdy is not great. Rex Grossman took Bears to a superbowl. I am not going to go through all examples of not great QBs winning or going far. You know they exist. That being said. I would rather have the Burrows or Mahomes of world. They know every single year they have a shot. On Twitter someone was busting on Packers for only winning 2 SBs with Favre and Rodgers. But during all that time, what was it like 30 years?, they went into each season knowing they had a chance to win. If you don't have that, you have to hope your GM loads up like Eagles GM and 49ers GM did. Like Rams did when they had Goff and then after the Stafford trade. You are hiring ex-jocks to be commentators because you want their knowledge of game expertise. Gone are days of Howard Cosell.

I agree, I like when he gets into the calls, adjustments, etc. Calling Mahomes a wizard. Cool. Saying the 'Wizard is wizardy?' No. lol Everyone has gaffes so I'm not bashing him. But I did get a good chuckle on that one.

He doesn’t do that nearly as much now. Now he comes across to me like he’s leaning way more into the Romo-ness and cliches than into doing the leg work pregame that made him really appealing when he first started. That said, even the current version is better than 80-90% of what else is out there IMO. Daryl Johnston, Mark Schlereth and Jonathan Vilma in particular are sooooo bad. Unfortunately they’re all on Fox broadcast teams and we’re a non-elite NFC team that gets one of them nearly every week.

Everytime I hear one of these guys a small piece of my soul withers into nothingness. Listening to Vilma one Sunday through me into a rage that almost made me vandalize my own loft.
