The fact that PC is getting literally no new features is enough for me to not play this game. Such a joke.

I've also seen the gameplay clips of the new engine anyways and it's still just as trash as the past 5 years:

There is nothing wrong. This is Johnathan Abram on a pass. They nailed it pretty well.

I was gonna post a funny response but you already done did it.

Looks like they’re absolutely nuking any sort of corner pass coverage with this gimmick. I saw a dude post about his pass shaping play when ea let him try it. He threw a dot to Olave 40 yards downfield that warped through a defender’s hands despite good coverage. He seemed oblivious to how stupid it looked and that it made no sense.

I remember the days where defenders would reach through a receivers head to knock the pass down.

I Also loved how Rex Grossman would take a 5-7 step drop back, hang in the pocket for a few seconds while looking backwards (away from the play), and have a reverse throwing motion tossing the ball 70 yards in the air lmfao. This happened all the time on Madden 06 I think.

Changes to franchise include an overhaul of free agency:

-4 types of contracts (team friendly, player friendly, neutral and max contract) all can be adjusted as well before submitting

-player signing motivations (play for home town team, play for super bowl contender, play with franchise QB and state income tax)

-player tags to attract free agents (franchise QB, Award Winner and Mentor)

- only 5 active negotiations at a time during the early free agent period

Also trade logic has been adjusted so if you put a player on the trade block you won’t have to wait until the next week to see any offers from AI teams

they also are expanding the new scouting so you’ll have more scouts and they can scout multiple positions rather then the one focus position

Wonder if this also means you can sign UDFA’s to the contract they deserve, not 1 year $2M deals min.

Looks like they are using the same engine but with additional physics sprinkled in.

Mid-Air Tackling was long long overdue, that should of been added in the PS3 games. Nice addition.

Mid air tackling was in Madden 22 and WR's basically always play hot potato with the football when it happens.

Contracts, awesome!

Motivations is really cool, especially state income tax, but the way I play madden I don't use FA anyway

I wonder if madden 23 is gonna have WR FA’s asking for $30/yr

Yep....then after paying that FA, CPU teams will sign two more WRs, then draft 3 more, and proceed to cut 2 or 3 of the WRs they just signed or drafted. :/

one time in one of my franchises, the Eagles drafted 7 cornerbacks in one draft. I think that's when I started losing interest in the offseason part of franchise

Yep.

Even though the games overall were better back then, I remember Madden 2007 or 2008, teams doing things like signing 3 WRs and then drafting 4 or 5 more.   That's ultimately why I went to Madden on PC with mods.

And on Madden 22, I simmed a few seasons, and QB needy teams often passed up QBs, then a team like the Ravens, with 95 overall and 26 year old Lamar Jackson, draft a QB round 1.

One other thing I noticed about 22 is that if you trade out of the spot youre in, the team you trade with will draft whoever was projected to your team in the last mock draft.    A QB was projected to me at pick 8...and the team I traded with took that QB, even though they had a franchise QB.    I reloaded and traded with a different team, but same result.    Reloaded once more but with a QB needy team, and they took the same player, and I rolled with that.

Thats why I cant stick with franchise.   I spend way too much time trying to fix things due to such lazy programming.
