wcblack34
I don’t think Chandler makes it to the practice squad if we cut him. As such, I think Mattison gets traded in camp or Ham gets cut/traded.

Ozzy
I would be pretty annoyed if they got rid of both Janarius Robinson and Patrick Jones after just one year, hell Robinson without even having him played in the regular season yet. The dude is a big time athlete and I doubt the likes of Vilain and Mintz are worth keeping over Robinson, no way that should happen unless Robinson has some career ending injury or something. Also would suck if they let go of Chazz Surratt, hopefully he gets a chance at OLB at least, he could do well there and again if Vilain and Mintz outplay him that is a surprise but I guess at least there is some competition there. Would hate for Twyman to be cut as well, he could be a good 3/4 DE and hard to handle in pass rush situations. Also would be nice to keep Jullian Taylor but he is a long shot. Otomewo would love to keep him, he has ideal 3/4 DE size and has good upside. Would also hate to see Ben Ellefson cut, he is the best blocker of all the TEs so I would rather he stay on than Mundt no question. Also I would not mind if Bisi is just let go, especially with Smith-Marsette coming on Albert Wilson bring brought in as a FA and Jalen Nailor as a UDFA. Also not sure what they do with Udoh unless they view him as the backup RT and Lowe as the backup LT. Still sucks Wyatt Davis is doing that badly apparently, especially for a guy with his type of talent. Would love to keep Timon Parris around as well but he might be more of a PS guy. Ty Chandler being brought in helps and he is better arguably as a offensive player than Kene in terms of pure running style and ability to catch the football but with Kene's special teams ability no way they cut him. Boyd is as good as gone, him or Harrison Hand but most likely Boyd.
Ozzy
After game one of the preseason it could look more like this, and the Vikings would be totally nuts to keep freaking Vilain and Mintz in place of Patrick Jones and Robinson both whom looked very solid as 3/4 OLBs. Sucks Surratt probably will be cut, he is such a good athlete but not sure he is a fit in this system but will catch on with another team I am sure. And McGill I want as a backup NT no question if he keeps up his level of play. Also oddly comfortable with Brandel and Udoh as backup LT and RT. Slot corner could be an issue throughout the season though because not sure Sullivan can hold it down might need to get another slot corner in here. QB (2) - Kirk Cousins, Kellen Mond RB (4) - Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison, Kene Nwangwu, CJ Ham WR (6) - Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, KJ Osborn, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Bisi Johnson, Trishton Jackson TE (3)- Irv Smith, Jr, Zach Davidson, Ben Ellefson OL (10)- Christian Darrisaw, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, Ed Ingram, Brian O'Neill, Oli Udoh, Blake Brandel, Kyle Hinton, Chris Reed, Austin Schlottmann DL (6)- Dalvin Tomlinson, Harrison Phillips, Armon Watts, James Lynch, Esezi Otomewo, TY McGill Edge/LB (5) - Danielle Hunter, Za'Darius Smith, DJ Wonnum, Patrick Jones II, Janarius Robinson ILB (4) - Eric Kendricks, Jordan Hicks, Brian Asamoah, Zach McCloud CB (6) - Patrick Peterson, Cam Dantzler, Chandon Sullivan, Andrew Booth Jr, Akayleb Evans, Harrison Hand S (4)- Harrison Smith, Lewis Cine, Cam Bynum, Josh Metellus K (1) - Greg Joseph P (1)- Jordan Berry LS (1) - Andrew DePaola Notable cuts - Jesse Davis OG, CB Kris Boyd, DL Jalen Twyman, OG Wyatt Davis, QB Sean Mannion, TE Johnny Mundt, OLB Luiji Vilain, OLB Andre Mintz, ILB Troy Dye, RB Ty Chandler RB, Chaz Surratt LB, Jalen Nailor WR Wyatt Davis showed flashes in space but he also missed some blocks, would love to get him on the practice squad but not sure he will even make that in place of Hinton. Also not sure keeping Jesse Davis is a good thing, would rather have Udoh as backup RT and at guard if Ingram can take it and Reed his backup no need for Jesse Davis but they could keep him just in case. I could see McCloud kept as a backup ILB or OLB and that versatility helps him a lot. Edited August 21, 2022 by Ozzy Added Kyle Hinton to active roster and Bisi

Who’s your 53rd player?

Who’s your 53rd player? My mistake, I have them keeping Jesse Davis then and 10 OL, but hard call. I want to keep Surratt but he has to make more plays consistently, still hope they try him as a edge guy like they are doing with McCloud. Would like another corner as well but will see who is cut. Denver could cut Bassey or Mathis at corner and I would not mind either one as a slot for the Vikings, not sure Denver keeps 6 CBs but maybe they would. Then one should got straight to New England, no way they keep 8 CBs and if not they would cut Marcus Jones or Jack Jones and both could be fine slot corners as well. They are going to have a hard choice at corner, but maybe they cut Wade or Williams and neither of them are slot corner types really. SemperFeist
After 2 preseason games, QB (2): Kirk Cousins, QB2 TBD RB (5): Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison, CJ Ham, Ty Chandler, Kene Nwangwu WR (6): Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, KJ Osborn, Bisi Johnson, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Dan Chisena TE (3): Irv Smith Jr, Johnny Mundt, Ben Ellefson OL (9): Christian Darrisaw, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, Ed Ingram, Brian O’Neill, Blake Brandel, Jesse Davis, Chris Reed, Vederian Lowe DL (6): Dalvin Tomlinson, Harrison Phillips, Armon Watts, James Lynch, TY McGill, Jonathan Bullard OLB (5): Danielle Hunter, Za’Darius Smith, DJ Wonnum, Janarius Robinson, Patrick Jones II LB (4): Eric Kendricks, Jordan Hicks, Brian Asamoah, Blake Lynch CB (6): Patrick Peterson, Cam Dantzler, Chandon Sullivan, Andrew Booth Jr, Nate Hairston, Akayleb Evans S (4): Harrison Smith, Lewis Cine, Camryn Bynum, Josh Metellus ST (3): Greg Joseph, Jordan Berry, Andrew DePaola Not a ton of changes from my June prediction, but at this point I only see four (WR6, DL6, CB6, and LB4), maybe five (OL9) spots up for grabs. I’m sure there could be a surprise (Schlottmann over Reed?), or two that we won’t expect.
SteelKing728
I can't see Reed and Davis making it. What about Albert Wilson? Could he be that #5 WR?

I think Reed has an uphill battle to make the final 53. I think Davis makes it. I say ‘No’ to A. Wilson, but potentially see Trishton Jackson making to roster as WR 6.
