Man idk about that. He’s a much more fluid player than Wiggins was. Wiggins was so still. I think Reddish just needs to continue to develop 7 years from now he could be really good.

I do want him to be more aggressive than anything but he’s athletic and fluid enough to be an all star and he can shoot the 3

Cam Reddish is so bad. Like so so bad. He doesn't do anything well except defense.

Any situation where he is our first pick is an unmitigated disaster. I dont think he will be BPA with the rockets pick. Hes like a handicapped Harrison Barnes.

This is what’s so crazy about the NBA, the prime of these players doesn’t start until years 5,6,7, etc in a lot of cases.

Exactly and even with Zion being amazing there are some really great players that can be outside the top 5

Steph Klay Kawhi Giannis Demar off the top of my head

so yeah I love Zion but I’m not going to act like I can’t find top talent later even in the NBA

Eh, I’d have prolly kept CWebb tbh.  He and shaq would have been filthy.

Shaq and Penny were very filthy. They also already had a very solid PF and GOAT Rec Specs (Chris Sabo runner up) athlete in Horace Grant.

Yeah, Penny was nice but he clearly wasn’t as good as CWebb either at his peak or for his career.

Flip grant for decent PG and they’d have had a Duncan/Robinson level duo.

I’d take peak Penny over CWebb for sure and I don’t believe it’s particularly close, but we can agree to disagree there.

As for his career, injuries ended it a lot sooner and his prime wasn’t nearly as long.

I think the moral of the story regardless who you think was better is that you are better off taking the better player regardless the assets generally.

Best player > Really good player plus assets

Ok, I’ve gotta hear the rational here.

CWebb average 27/11/4 during his best season, Penny about 21/4.5/7.

CWebb was a 20/10 guy, for his career. Penny had 3 good years.

CWebb didn’t have much else around him. Penny was also a great defender at a premium position.

I feel like you’re misremembering those Kings squads.  Hedo, Bibby, Christy, Vlade, Peja... 60 wins in the west.

One season as a top 20 defender (19th) for Penny

Five for CWebb, topping out at 6th.

That was way after the 90s era. Shaqs Lakers in the 2000s best them.

I’m taking peak Penny and pairing him with Shaq. They’d probably even beat MJs Bulls in the playoffs.
