Nnivolcm
MCDC opening press conference: Couple interesting points: Pretty much no restrictions for Okudah Paschal is dealing with a sports hernia issue. Google says the recovery time is between 6 and 12 weeks. Primary goal for training camp is getting better at critical incidents for both sides of the ball. Everybody made weigh in and only one unnamed player failed the conditioning test. MCDC stated the player who failed the conditioning test only started running a week ago. A reporter's phone alarm went off during the press conference. Instead of blowing up at him, MCDC made light of the situation. Complete 180 from when Patricia was here. Nnivolcm
Former Ohio State and New Orleans Saints quarterback J.T. Barrett is joining the Detroit Lions’ coaching staff. Quote His tenure with Detroit will be his first stop in the coaching ranks. Though specifics of his position are not yet known, he will certainly work closely with new offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Lions sign free agent DT Isaiah Buggs Lions added a DT some people were concerned about after Penisini's retirement.
Superduperman
The more time goes by, the more embarrassed I am that the Lions ever hired Patricia. What a bum.

We definitely need another big body to replace Penisini. Buggs hasn't done much in the NFL but maybe he can carve out a role.
Nnivolcm
Quote Undrafted running back Greg Bell suffered a non-contact injury Thursday during a 7-on-7 drill. Bell was running an out route and took an awkward step and immediately reached for his left side. He was helped off the field and eventually helped inside. https://www.detroitlions.com/news/tim-and-mike-training-camp-day-2-observations-cephus-hockenson-bell

Sllim Pickens
https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2022/8/1/23286899/detroit-lions-2022-training-camp-day-5-observations-penei-sewell-ol-dominate-pads Interesting read on yesterdays first day in pads. I love hearing that the O line dominated but also I hate hearing the O Line dominated. I expected them to be really good, but I also hoped the D line made enough strides to get them every once in a while but it sounds like that didn't happen other than two reserve OL getting beat. I am hoping its just because our O line is elite but I have a feeling that its more likely we have a very good OL and the DL is going to struggle. Nnivolcm
Quote Cephus suffered an apparent leg injury during one-on-one drills Tuesday, when he got tangled up with cornerback Jeff Okudah after making an acrobatic catch along the sideline. Cephus clutched his left leg as he sat on the field being tended to by team medical personnel, and left the field with the assistance of two trainers. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2022/08/02/detroit-lions-quintez-preseason-leg-injury/10213645002/
Just Want A Title
Levi Onwuzurike is banged up. Alim McNeil may be looking pretty good but the Lions could have a problem at DT this year if Onwuzurike doesn't/can't produce.

He seemed to be making strides and grasping that 4th/5th WR role which right now is a 3rd/4th with Williams out. Having a guy like him develop would be great given Chark is on a 1 year deal and Reynolds isn't a long term option IMO. Hope it isn't anything too major. Sounds like a lot of our edge guys will be rotating inside especially on passing downs but still need to be able to stop the run and try to keep lineman off of our bad LBs.
