Nats Trade OF Juan Soto to the Padres

Obviously you are never going to "win" trading a guy like Soto but once he rejcted the extension, which wasn't an underpay by the Nats, trading him was inevitable. And they got a really nice haul for him. I don't think the Nats could do any better than they did.

Nats have rebuilt the entire farm system in like 2 days, hard to begrudge what they've done.

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind being out of Trout’s contract at this point. 
 

I think they have to trade Ohtani in the offseason. He’s not re-signing, and you absolutely cannot let him walk for nothing.
