Gotta believe this is between Brees and Elway

Brees was as gifted as a passer as we have ever seen, often outshining his other HOF counterparts in Brady/Manning/Rodgers. His counting stats alone are insanity and there is a list shorter than 3 QBs who I think were more pin point accurate on a consistent basis. He was one of the greatest ever at his position in regards to tempo and rhythm of an offense.

Elways natural abilities as a baseball player turned pro QB was a sight to behold. He was in charge of carrying a LOT of bad rosters to the Super Bowl, almost LeBron James-esq carry jobs where he elevated the team around him so much that they didnt have a choice but to jump on his back. Like I said with Brees, there isnt 3 QBs ever that I would take who had better arm talent than John Elway. The stats wer'nt always the best, but the best players make big time plays in big time games when your team needs it the most. Put John Elways face next to that quote in the football 101 dictionary.

Marino’s prime was short but it was the best. He started the crazy QB numbers league in 1983-1986.

Young was very efficient but he was not really an upgrade on 10 years of Montana.

Montana 1988 playoffs through 1989 playoffs crushes Young’s best.

Elway never really had a prime. He was a mudder who won clutch playoff games then he was a complimentary piece to TD in the SB years. His very good lasted a really long time.

Favre and Rodgers are the same person in the same system with the same endless stable of pass catchers.

Brady after accusations of witchcraft should be the winner though.

He started with the 2nd best WR of that era (Sharpe) He did not play as long but his numbers destroy all the others 88-94.

Sharpe (3854 and 42 Favre's first 3 years), Freeman (4671 and 41 from 96-99), 10k Driver(4772 and 24 from 04-07), 3x pro bowl Chmura, 3x pro bowl Franks, Jennings his last 2 years. Yeah, dem bums. They were on TV 6+ times a year every year. We all saw them. We all heard about them. We all saw them in pro bowls.

He even had several second tier depth guys like Schroeder and Walker (2098 and 21 in 03-04 before he got hurt and left for Denver)

I must have misremembered that Favre just tossed the ball to Pinkston and Thrash clones every year.

GB has done an incredible job at WR for the last 30 years. Its not just Favre, Rodgers and a bunch of Chris Hogans and Danny Amendolas.
