Crimmage
I was hoping he ended up on IR and just stuck around the team all season to help out the young guys.. but it seems like his injury was too much and he's going to retire.
biggie.
Who will be next in the lineage of third down backs?
Soko
Have to give the guy props, he’s been a staple since he’s taken the reigns from Vereen. Great career. Leaves the door wide open for Montgomery and Strong. Stevenson’s value goes up too.
Crimmage
For him to retire so early in camp.. it almost feels like the team may have known this offseason and gave him a thank you contract too. He mentioned he wants to coach in the future.. RB assistant coach James White sounds good to me.. he would be perfect to train future 3rd down backs

It seems like just yesterday White took over for Vereen as Brady's safety valve. Crazy how time works.

m haynes
Great job Mr James White. I knew this would happen after watching him during preseason game with Steve Burton. Steve had him comment on the players during the game an he was smooth and to the point. . White’s career: Former Patriots running back James White will be watching his former team closely this season, although that won’t be the case for the team’s Week 2 game at the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s because White has already been scooped up to provide analysis for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' game at the New Orleans Saints – which kicks off at the same time – on Sports USA’s national radio broadcast. Brady, the Bucs quarterback , will surely appreciate seeing his former teammate. https://www.espn.com/blog/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4825790/troy-aikman-on-what-new-england-patriots-qb-mac-jones-and-tom-brady-have-in-common-and-the-hardest-job-in-football
