SF are giving him the benefit to choose a trade partner. Considering Jimmy has self-respect and is a mature adult he will avoid the Jets.

Keep thinking that, but the Jets have been quietly building a talented roster. They have very competent people in the organization now despite all the hate by some casual fans who haven't been paying attention or have any real knowledge.  You look at where the Jets roster was 2-3 years ago vs how their roster is now, you would see the job that Joe Douglas has been doing as GM.

Jennifer Lawrence Reaction GIF

13-36 since 2019. Only the Jaguars and Lions have won less games. Doesn't sound "very competent" to me.

Think it would have been better for the Jets to tank and then go all in year three with Zack Wilson out for the season. Give the rest of the team a year to develop with Mike White or some vet, and land another top five pick. They have no chance in the East.

Zack could have lived it up and stayed in shape in the bedroom charming all of mom's friends. I'm sure some of the husbands would have watched.

Or they just have a different opinion.  I mean, it could be that, too.  People really do need to stop acting like they're freaking all-knowing oracles and anyone who has any opinion that doesn't adhere to theirs is lazy, not putting in effort, or just plain ignorant; it's doesn't make you look as superior as y'all seem to think it does.

yeah because bringing up records of past GMs and past history has any meaning on the now and future. That is just a casual fan response of not really knowing about a team but just want to make a dig at them over their past.

Players do not look at the Jets the same as they did in the past, they will come here and have.

What does it tell you that Buffalo, NE and Miami fans are all united in our disdain for the Jets?

Fair or not, when it comes to public perception, past history and records do matter. And I'd say that's a pretty reasonable response and not "just a casual fan response".

Seeing is believing. Any and all new GMs, coaches, and players can say whatever they want, but the bottom line is until the Jets actually prove that it's a new day in NY then nobody is going to believe it and take them serious. And it's not personal towards the Jets either.....this rule applies across the board too. The same thing goes for DET, CHI, CLE, NYG, JAX, LV, and any other team that have struggled to be consistent for years. Look at the Rams....that team had to earn their respect after spending a good part of 15 years being a league punching bag.

Again, that is a casual fan response.

Not that we are the barometer for your team, but I'd say last season's NYJ iteration was one of the easiest to play for us, in the last 15 years or so. We've had many close bouts, but to put over 50 on you...that surprised even us.

Maybe it will be different this season, probably. But long way to go still

So is Mike White going to get a shot at the job? I remember him having a hot run last season...

Flacco then White. Joe didn't sign to be the #3 QB, inactive most weeks. If they do it in reverse and White starts week 1. Might get ugly tbh. Retire out of spite. 🤷‍♂️
