SteelKing728
How will this impact New England this season?
Soko
It won’t, lol. JJ was probably getting cut anyway, and Butler was competing for a spot. Jalen Mills, Jon Jones, Terrence Mitchell, Marcus Jones, Jack Jones, Shaun Wade, and Myles Bryant make up the rest of the depth chart. Not inspiring, unless one of the young guys steps up in a big way. That said, NE knows how to coach up it’s DBs (Malcolm Butler, Jon Jones, JC Jackson we’re all brought along as UDFAs). There’s hope in the NE fan base, but it could just as easily be a bumpy ride for the guys on the outside. Having Dugger, Phillips, and Peppers helping out on the inside helps.

And then of course every single one got injured during the year lol could have definitely used him.

Yikes the AFC east is loaded with pass catchers too. Won't ever count out the nobodies that NE turns into productive players but Diggs, Gabriel, Crowder, Moore, G. Wilson, Davis, Waddle, Hill, C. Wilson is a huge ask for these guys to cover. You can only cover up the lack of talent with scheme so much. Luckily for them there is only one proven QB they have to deal with. Just don’t have the horses to play heavy man coverage against what Hill/Waddle or Diggs are going to send. How the secondary turns out is going lean heavily on which of the veterans plays the best football of their career (yikes) and/or which young CB steps up and can play a starting role.
