Time for another franchise.  I chose the Seahawks cause I think they are sneaky bad, and the Texans will be the obvious choice for everyone to rebuild this year.  So I wanted to do something different, plus the Seahawks division will be way harder to compete in than the Texans.

Oh, also I upgraded to Xbox One X so this will be my first next gen franchise.

Per usual I'm going to sim ALL games.  Even playoff games.

The objective is to eventually replace every player on the roster with a cpu generated drafted player and win a Super Bowl.  So that means I will be trading away a lot of existing players on the roster, even the star players.

The Seahawks roster is listed as 77 OVR, 77 OFF, 77 DEF.

Obviously all the QBs are bad and will need to be replaced.  Maybe one of them sticks around for awhile as a backup.

At RB, I guess Walker will be the starter as Penny is a pending FA.  Not a lot else depth wise at the position.

At WR, Tyler Lockett has a ridiculous contract I'd like to get rid of plus he's aging, so he will be shopped.  Metcalf is a beast and only 24.  I will probably hold onto him for a season or two to let him progress, then cash him in for a huge trade package.

Noah Fant is solid.  Not sure if I'll be able to replace him immediately so he might stick around for awhile.

The oline is pretty much a mess other than Cross and Lewis.  The rest need to go.  Also does anyone else think its ridiculous Walker is a 77 OVR but Cross is 73 OVR?

The defensive roster seems set up for a 3-4 so I will move a bunch of guys positions around. This seems pretty dumb considering the playbook is a 4-3 one. I know Seattle runs some weird schemes but still seems weird.

I'm not sure there is a starting caliber defensive lineman on the roster.

Brooks is a solid LBer, and Nwosu will probably slide down to DE.  Mafe seems like he got a crap Madden rating for a 2nd round pick.

The secondary is pretty awful.  Diggs is aging and will be shopped.  Adams will 100% be shopped.

edit -

- I moved U Nwosu to RE, his OVR is 75.

- I moved D Taylor to RE, his OVR is 72.

- I moved LJ Collier to DT, his OVR is 69.

- I moved J Iyiegbuniwe to ROLB, his OVR is 68.  btw I need to trade this guy asap cause his name is impossible to spell.

*TRADE*

Titans Receive

WR Tyler Lockett (90)

Seahawks Receive

2023 Titans 1st Round Pick

2024 Titans 4th Round Pick

The Titans are a SB contender with only 1 solid WR in Robert Woods.  Lockett gives them the deep threat they need to open up running lanes for Derrick Henry.

HB D Thompson (67) - I can't carry that many RBs

HB D Dallas (66) - sent to PS

FB N Bellore (63) - don't see the value in a 33 year old 63 overall FB

WR A Fuller (63) - slow

WR C Johnson (64) - slow

WR C Thompson (66) - slow

WR P Hart (66) - slow

TE T Ott (34) - he's freaking 34 OVR

TE T Mabry (59) - not good

OC D Shepley (50) - not good

LE J Hewitt (63) - not good

RE M Adams (60) - not good

LOLB L Williams (60) - not good

ROLB A Donkor (55) - anyone under 65 OVR really doesn't deserve a roster spot.

CB M Jackson (66) - out of PS eligibility

CB J Reid (68) - sent to PS

FS J Jones (69) - he's solid but they have too many Safeties on roster and I don't want to cut rookie Bolden

SS D Williams (61) - sent to PS

TRADE DEADLINE UPDATE - YEAR 1

I'm 2-5 at the trade deadline, so the tank is strong.  I have some players with expiring deals I may want to shop.  I don't really need any more picks for this upcoming draft so I'll target future picks.

*TRADE*

Bills Receive

HB R Penny (78)

Seahawks Receive

2023 Bills 4th Round Pick

2024 Bills 5th Round Pick

- Penny's contract is expiring and he had zero interest in resigning.  The Bills could use another RB as its one of the only positions on their roster they aren't stacked at.

*TRADE*

Rams Receive

CB S Jones (78)

Seahawks Receive

2024 Rams 2nd Round Pick

- Rams are contenders but behind Ramsay their CBs are surprisingly weak. Jones becomes their #2 starter and the Rams have shown their willing to trade picks for vets.

I was considering the Seahawks for my initial franchise until the 53 man roster update comes along but I decided on the Giants instead because the Giants don’t have strong players like an Adams or Metcalfe and besides that Barkley and Jones are both nearing the end of their rookie deals so I can let them walk.

The giants can rot in hell I’m not fixing them.
