Keep going after our ILB in RB/TE pass coverage - Tyler Kroft and Joe Mixon should get a ton of work. We can't cover either. 2. Keep double/triple-teaming Von - until Ray/Barrett, and more importantly, our interior DL, can get pressure, keep him away from Dalton. 3. Get pressure on Oz by beating our T's & Garcia - stunts and blitzes should focus on keeping our T's and Garcia 1-on-1, they can get beat regalularly 4. Bracket DT & Sanders - they're our only serious weapons. 5. Keep exploiting our 32nd-ranked ST unit - that might be harder now that Isiaih McKenzie has finally been benched. It's true that CIN's OL is struggling and our pass coverage vs. WR's remains elite, but man, everywhere else, CIN has us beat IMO. Oddly enough...the difference between the Broncos and the Bills (who have the last spot for the playoffs right now) is two games. if the Broncos can end the losing streak and go on a winning streak with Osweiller at the helm. There is a chance the Broncos can make a run at the playoffs. I mean, they have Bengals, Raiders, Dolphins, Jets, Colts, and Redskins left. In a normal year...we would stand a chance for a wild card spot.

If we go on a 7-0 run we'd have a good chance. Outside of the Colts every team on our schedule has a better W/L. Realistically I'd expect a 3-4 or 4-3 finish. Just enough to keep us outside the top 10 in draft position.

Just enough to keep us outside the top 10 in draft position. The other issue is that you have to jump 6 other teams to get to that one spot (4 if you don't include 3-6 teams, since it's no lock they go to 4-6, but they are ahead of us as well in the standings). So the odds of us going 7-0 or 6-1....so yeah, realistically we're out of the playoff hunt. And like you said, if we go 3-4 or 4-3, we do just enough to pick outside of the top 10. Really, we should be rooting to go 0-7 or 1-6, worst 2-5. If we miss the playoffs, might as well pick as high as possible. Long-term, it's what will help us the most. They either need to figure it out and go on a miraculous run for the playoffs...or, do a better tank job. The Broncos are in need of a top 10, top 5 talent. We could probably get the best at those spots when we draft. I won't care which position we fill. We just need to get the BPA. A couple years of that and we'll be right back in the mix. AKRNA
Well, so much for two TE sets. Derby and Heuermann are both inactive. Backup for Brock may be Lynch. He practiced all week. So, let the 2018 auditions begin!!!!!!!!
Broncofan
With no 2TE sets we should seriously consider using both RB’s at the same time (Booker & CJ). Then again if we want to lose that would hurt our chances. So check that.
jolly red giant
Maybe they are planning on using an extra OLman - after all, who wants to see Stephenson playing RT on his own.
Broncofan
Elway on our struggles... We are soft because our OL sucks and we have zero inside DL pass rush (run D better) and no ILB. That’s on Elway. Our ST play sucks that’s on the coaching. Let’s spread the blame to everyone - the players own their part but so does Elway and the coaches (VJ as head gets some but man Olivo gets the brunt for ST). For our draft position kind of a key game to drop. The big advantage besides our EDGE vs. their T and our secondary vs their WR is that their run D has struggled of late. Our OL sucks overall but they do run block well (just cannot pass protect against any decent pass rush). If we want a L probably need them to stack the box and dare Brock to beat us. And bait us into sacks / TO’s. And them to really use Mixon and TE Tyler Kroft heavily in the pass game. They do that and limit TO on their end it sets up the TO/sacks our O & ST giveaways to tilt the game back to CIN. But yeah this game is a close one. Even if our season is a lost one. paul-mac
Paxton Lynch will be the backup tomorrow with Siemian inactive. Have to think if we lose tomorrow then Lynch plays next week.
AnAngryAmerican
Shocking that the offense of Josh McDaniels' protege isn't being well-received in Denver. If only someone around here had said Mike McCoy is the most over rated OC on Earth.
paul-mac
When reports like that come out it usually only ends in one thing. A head coach fearing for his own job will very frequently fire a coordinator and make him the fall guy, hoping someone else can light a fire under the team. McCoy will probably be that fall guy tomorrow if we don’t turn things around tonight. Especially since Bill Musgrave is waiting in the wings. I feel somewhat vindicated to be frank. All summer we had to listen to that hack Cecil Lammey perform fellatio on McCoy while I was warning everyone that the McDaniels protege was going to be a major letdown. Now, if we could just rid of Vance, Woods and Olivo.
