Trentwannabe
So much for him being on the final 53 lol. Surprised we got a 5th
soflbillsfan
Best return that you can think of, was thinking more of a 6th or 7th rd pick for him. Was kind of surprised given that he has made a turn with kromer as oline coach. One in the bust column that Beane drafted..I have a feeling epenesa and potential moss are heading that way too. Billsfaninptown
Wow nice job Beane. He wasn’t a good fit in this scheme in my opinion. Does this mean Bobby Hart is going to make the roster for sure now?

Thelonebillsfan
Just didn't fit what we wanted to do, won't shock me if he plays well in Arizona tbh

Tommy_C
I'll take a 5th for a guy who probably wasn't going to make the team!

Meh, I wouldn't label him a bust. That's usually for guys taken in the 1st. Ford, Epenesa, Moss all went in 2nd or 3rd round.

Traded up in round two (tried to get into round 1) to take him in hopes he’d be the long term answer at RT.

Beane moved up to get him and the expectations of him to anchor the rightside to not be able to turn in to a capable guard is a bust to me. Not to mention those that were still available and the needs we had. Could have had Dk or Aj brown which wr was a need at the time as much as oline was. Epenesa I would still claim him to be a bust if he doesnt turn the corner as he was expected to be the anchor on the one side of defense and has been pushed down the depth chart in which lawson may take his spot in the 4th spot. Moss I can accept no claiming him as a bust but still a miss. Ford is probably one of the biggest disappointment draft picks thus far. He has made up for it in guys like bass and davis in those late round picks but this one definitely hurts as we have been searching for a RT ever since he was drafted. DER10N92
Fair point to both of ya. As far as Beane's moves go, trading Wyatt Teller after his rookie season is probably his biggest flub so far. I wish the best for Ford but hopefully it's not another case like that. Ford has only played 3 seasons and while you can't wait forever on guys, some guys it just takes longer to click. But with Teller, he gave up on him right away lol

But with Teller, he gave up on him right away lol Well with Teller he was a solid run blocker but struggled with pass blocking and he fits the Browns run first offense. Whether Teller could have excelled in bills offense will always be something fans will question, including myself but I dont blame Beane at the time as he was trying to get the best oline out there to protect his new franchise qb and it was a numbers game at that point. Cody is definitely a huge flop as they moved up for him and as I mentioned WR was a need with several available when bills picked including brown and metcalf, I know easier to see now then at the time but everyones knock on metcalf was neck injury and not his ability to play just wish they took the risk at the time but would they have gone after diggs if they did draft metcalf so I cant complain to much about not going wr.. Its not anything to do with Ford but what does everyone think about Moss and Epenesa on what they need to do this year before they are in Cody's spot next offseason by being traded or potential cut? Trentwannabe
My biggest issue with the Teller trade isn’t with Beane. It’s with Bobby Johnson. He’s not a good OL coach and if he could develop guys or see potential he should have pounded the table to keep Teller.
