My bad. I figured this twitter user worked for PFF because what I posted was based on PFF. Evidently he/she just posts anything from anywhere

Ah okay.  Nah he has his own models he helped create based on R language and that's what he posts alot of-- which I find useful for some things like play calling and performance (although it's only a result based system with little context). Sometimes he also just takes stats from other sites (like PFF) and simply makes them look pretty for visualization purposes.

Just to continue this.

I used NGS charts to track Fields' air yards, depth, and more.

I section off the field in 1/8ths to paint a clearer picture. You can find the totals for combined games at the bottom of each section.

Note: LOS - Means pass attempt at LOS or less.

====================

14 attempts each at LOS, 1-10 yards, and 11-30.  Well at least he's been consistent at something.

Jarring fact;  in 15 games, Fields has yet throw a TD pass in the first quarter in the NFL and has thrown 5 INTs.

Since 1994, only 28 QBs never threw a TD pass in the 1st Q (min 20 pass attempts) and Fields' 5 INTs is the most among them.

His 43.6 passer rating is the 24th lowest next to Spergon Wynn (43.8) and Tim Hasselbeck (43.1).

His passer rating this year is 21.8, which is the lowest in the league by a wide margin (Joe Flacco 38.5 / Tua 46.6).

This I would agree with.

He's taking as many short passes as he is deep passes.

As I showed above, 28 of his 45 attempts have been 10 yards or less in air yards.  22% of his targets have been to Monty/Herbert.

No doubt he is still throwing shorter passes but being 2nd in air yards per attempt clearly isn't working for him...we need to do some shorter stuff to set up the deep ball...I still can't believe just how few slants and mesh concepts we are seeing...hopefully with Velus looking likely to be back today we see some more of that.

ok, this hypothetical is not an indication that i am giving up on fields, just a thought.

Say we finish with the #2 pick, and a team like houston gets #1. Lovie ends up being lovie and they sign jimmy G and draft either Will Anderson or Jalen Carter. that leaves us with the unpicked DL or either QB. if you could trade Fields and (at least) get a 2023 #1 pick, would you?

Option 1 - draft potential DL stud (no WR or OL is worth the pick)

Option 2 - trade JF for a 1st, draft a QB (Stroud/Young), restart the rookie qb contract clock, use second 1st round pick for other help

Option 3 - trade back from #2 for a (potential) king's ransom for a team looking for a QB

Option 3 without a second-thought. This franchise desperately needs to get on the right side of the draft ledger.

Who is giving up a 1st rounder for Fields?

I'm going option 2 regardless. Take Bryce Young and see if a team would give up a 3rd rounder for Fields

Washington gave a good amount for Wentz... Fields would fetch at least one first. Probably more.
