And down to 10 now. We’re legitimately a candidate for worst team in the league and we’re picking 10th. We currently have the highest SOS in the league. Absolutely unbelievable.

It is kind of annoying that the Lions beat the absolute piss out of us, and yet somehow they can’t beat another soul?

What’s even more annoying is if the Bears just kicked field goals they would’ve won. So because the Bears coach is a total moron we dropped 7 spots in the draft order. It’s not even because we were better.

Yup. And the bears pick one pick ahead of us.

BTW - Detroit, who kicked our butts, has 2 first rounders next year.

Currently #3 and #22. If they were smart, they either use the #22 and another pick to trade up a few for that player that makes it into the mid teens. Or they trade with another team that wants to trade back into the first and get someone. And keep the 2 firsts rolling into 2024.

KOC is 5-1 as a headcoach. But nope, we couldn’t have just made him the guy with Kyle Smith as GM. We needed Mr. 3 Winning seasons to turn this around

Getting a little ways into the ether on this one, but one wonders where Dwayne Haskins would be if we’d done that.

He openly lobbied for them to keep KOC, and for obvious reasons, as he closed his rookie year with that genuinely terrific 1.5 game span (31/43, 394 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, 131.3 rating) under O’Connell’s guidance. Perhaps things would have gone differently for him the next season if he’d had a bit continuity in coaching, instead of having to adjust to a 4th play-caller and a 3rd HC in his second season.

We only hired Scott out of favoritism cause Ron knew Norve . Letting KOC go was a mistake .

Oh and we're picking #11 now.

One of the things that’s really going to suck is that the rest of the NFCE winning at this crazy rate is going to force our strength of schedule up — which means we’ll be picking toward the bottom of any segment of teams in the draft.

In other words, it’s going to make us lose the tiebreaker with most teams that have the same record as us.

This is going to continue to be infuriating all season, as long as the rest of these NFCE dopes keep winning. NO is also 2-4, but they’re slotted in 5th due to their low SOS.

Fortunately, it’ll be less of an issue as the year goes on and teams get spaced out a little more in terms of win totals. But it’s still probably going to cost us a couple of (potentially critical) draft slots when it’s all said and done.

I’d just keep 3 & 22. They could get an elite DL prospect at 3 or Jaxson Smith Njigba & a DB or LB with their 22nd pick.
