Its quite the bummer seeing Tyjae Spears jump up so high on so many draft boards now. I was hoping he was someone we could get in the late third or mid 4th to compliment Robinson. He might end up in the second now. He's really climbing.

You called him well before the show he put on at the Senior Bowl. Incredible burst, he’s a lot of fun.

Would love to know if he can return punts and kicks, that would sell me on him in the 3rd (though he likely won’t get there, as you mention). They didn’t have him do it at Tulane, but you can understand why, as he was basically their whole offense from mid-2021 on.

This class is deep with TE's.

I want to get one them.

I still think Mayer should be the pick in the first round. If we move back a few spots and still get him while adding an extra third that would be even better. His ability as a blocker and pass catcher would help out Howell's development so much in my opinion. Maybe you end up with Jaelyn Duncan or Dawand Jones in the second and can kick Cosmi inside as well.

I’m still on the Broderick Jones train. Put him at RT, move Cosmi down to RG. Restructure Roullier, re-sign Wes S. Draft a C & OG in the mid to late rounds to develop/compete with guys like Chris Paul & Saahdiq Charles.

I think that upgrades our OL.

Round 2 I’d go CB if one’s available worth taking when we pick. We need a #3 CB. Someone like DJ Turner or Blu Kelly.

I’m re-signing Holcomb & drafting a LB or 2 in the mid to late rounds.

At 16 I’m kind of warming up to CB with our pick for Witherspoon.
If I had my choice I would trade down depending on who was picked or what player was falling.
JM Schmitz who I really like but don’t think he will be there at our pick in the 2nd round.
Steven Avila is another guy I like but not sure he would be there when we pick in the 3rd rd. Maybe we can get Dorian Williams LB/Tulane

I think there's a chance Trenton Simpson is available to us in the second or someone like Ivan Pace in the third. They have to get a LB though.

Depends on what happens with Holcomb. I have to admit, I really do hate the idea of having to spend two high picks on LB w/in 3 drafts. Certainly seems there’s other ways to get a good LB to put next to Jamin that doesn’t require us taking another top 20 LB or spend a 2nd round pick on a LB when our OL is among the worst in the league & our 3rd CB spot is also among the worst in the league.

Most of the best teams in the league do not have two high picks invested in the Lb position. In a lot of ways the position has become the defensive version of the RB position. It’s rare that you take one high & if you do it’s bc you see them being among the best in the league.

There has to be a cheaper FA LB we can sign even if we lose Holcomb.

Sign Orlando Brown Jr. In FA

Trade Curtis Samuel (in a contract yr)

Sign WR Mecole Hardman

Re-sign Deron Payne

Trade down--to low/mid 20's in first

Draft CB Joey Porter Jr. (Penn. St.)

2nd rd- draft TE Darnell Washington (Georgia)

That's where I'm at, right now.

You aren't paying Brown Jr and Daron Payne.
