drfrey13
I do not like this move. If Mullen was a starter 1 year is worth more than a 6th or 7th. We gae all this money to try and be a contender right away and then trade away a starting caliber player for nothing really. We have taken a strength with depth and are now 1 injury away from having issues. If Hobbs or Ya-Sin was hurt what do you think we would have to get in return to trade Mullen? A lot more than a 6th or 7th. We only saved $300K so when the next guy moves up into the top 51 our cap space actually goes down by $600,000 this year. New front office has done more good then the last but I still question some of these moves.
RaidersAreOne
One thing I appreciate. McD and Z don't give an F about where you were taken or how much you make. The best players make the team. No scholarships any longer.

Just hope we make some moves besides just offloading players.
ronjon1990
Man those 1st and 2nd rounders of the Grudock Era sure went fast.....
big_palooka
Mullen was overrated here. He was not a good corner. Flashed on occasion, couldn't stay healthy. He's also not a press man corner that the new regime wants. Z trying to overhaul the defense on the fly here. Not ideal.

We will have to wait and see if the can check their ego when it is a player they choose. 7 minutes ago, MrOaktown_56 said: Agree but Mullen is better rn than Webb or Amik. Our CBs look really good with depth. Do you really want Amik or Webb starting on the outside? I do not right now.As for injuries I would b just as scared about Ya-Sin getting hurt or Hobbs geting in trouble as I would Mullen getting hurt again.
agarcia34
Thinks this sets up Hobbs to be CB1. Gonna learn a lot about him this season. Staff seems to really like him and want to play him outside and not just inside. Should be all over the field

You do realize that Mullen has started 32 games in 3 years while Ya-Sin has started 29. They have both had multiple injuries and Mullen has had 1 big toe fracture. That's not "good" but it's certainly not bad and he has lots of game experience. At the very least, if someone goes down late, you need depth. Is webb gonna be that guy as a rookie? I hope so but we'll see.

101Raider
Don’t like this one. Only thing our DB room had going for it was solid depth

Either way, the secondary needs some better talent.
