Penn State transfer. Kind of a gunslinger, but it's fun.

Nah this is the first weekend where game hopping is a thing. Besides it's not really apple picking unless you're missing a playoff game.

I've decided to be a martyr this weekend and fall on the grenade before October rolls around with about a million little kid birthdays and family dinners on my wife's side completely wreck my life, so that way when I inevitably bail early, it goes better for everyone.

I guess it's not my in laws' fault as they grew up in Lansing and don't know any better.

Smart move. I've asked my cat, and thus far, no in-law visits, so I think I'm good to be a complete degenerate without making anyone else in the household mad.

I've been meaning to ask how your cat is/was.

I assume this is your picture.

The unintentional comedy of all cats gravitating towards men who give them marginal at best attention is astounding. I was at @NateDawg's house last weekend for the game, and we are clearly watching it and ignoring them, and low and behold both cats stumble downstairs and immediately sit beside us/at our feet as though ignoring them is a calling card to unconditional love and attention.

She's been awesome, thanks for asking. Settled in really well, we both survived the first claw trim and vet visit without any permanent psychological damage. She's currently sleeping on a heated pad next to my desk.

But yeah I got crazy lucky. She doesn't scratch furniture, she doesn't bite (she does the love nip thing but never breaks skin), has never gone outside the litterbox, nothing like that. Well there was one time where I shorted her kitty litter so 90% of the dump was in the litterbox with one turd right next to it, but honestly that's better communication than the average human in a relationship, so I don't count it.

EDIT: Also, I'm a stomach sleeper and she does thing thing where are 1 AM she'll fall asleep on my back. Which immediately turns me into a useless emotional puddle.
