Too late now, given they invested a 2nd in Mathis.

Well, unless they overpay to make up for hurt feelings (and thus waste a 2nd).

Just another "brilliant" decision by Rivera and the poodles.

With Mathis getting hurt, it may mean Payne gets franchised next year depending on how Bada, Obada & Wise play as reserve DTs.

Forrest is just 1 player. He was awesome. He played well, the rest of the secondary & the LBs in coverage did not play well. Both those things can be true. WJ3 & Juice got burned all game, as did Holcomb & Jamin. McCain & Fuller got burned on Kirk’s 49-yard reception which allowed the Jags to finally take the lead in the 3rd quarter.

Etien dropped a sure TD pass, Lawrence missed Etien for another should’ve been TD completion in the first quarter. After that, Lawrence missed I think One of the Jones’s on what should’ve been a TD on the Tiger side of the D.

Lawrence was more inaccurate that Carson. If Lawrence was as accurate as Carson, the Jags put up 38 pts on our D or more. The only reason they didn’t have that many points was bc the Jags shots themselves in the foot.

Talking about shooting themselves in the foot the same could be said about Wentz! He should've put more points on the board when Lawrence was missing targets yet Wentz wasn't he was basically doing the same thing as Lawrence.

The Defense allowed 3 points going into Halftime! Playing poorly and allowing points is two different things. During the game I posted going into the 2nd half the Offense needed to score a TD on their 1st drive while the score was 14-3, they didn't. If they lost that game today it would've been more on the Offense not converting on those drives the D didn't allow any points.

They were on there way to scoring again and then Samuel fumbled. But like I said Wentz would’ve been the reason we lost however he ended up being the reason we won. He’s a rollercoaster who makes extremely stupid decisions followed by some of the most beautiful throws you’ll ever see.

They have a ton of cap space. Just pay him and be done with it. You built your team around the DL and now it’s time to pay up.

For me it depends on how Sweat plays. If Sweat breaks out this year w/ double digit sacks & a handful of game changing plays like he had in 2020 then I keep him over Payne, they may keep Sweat over Payne regardless.

Certainly true, not denying that. We should’ve had another TD or 2 or at least a few field goal attempts in the game if we didn’t have the 3 turnovers.

Samuel did fumble witch again isn't the Defense fault. Coming into the season I believed the Offense was gonna have to be better than the Defense just because they haven't played well since 2020, so I'm prepared for the D to give up some plays down field the Offense will just have to be able to do the same thing at a higher pace.

4 TDs a game from this Offense is very possible and will be needed. Isn't that why they traded for Wentz?

Also the Offense came out and did what on the 1st drive? Didn't score to extend the lead rewarding the D for only allowing 3 points.

The whole team played like crap in the 3rd A. I never said that didn’t happen. O & D came out of the lockeroom after halftime flat like Gruden’s teams used to & Wentz had the 2 bad decisions. Thankfully Wentz rebounded and won us the game in the 4th. We haven’t had a QB who’s been able to do that for us in 5 years.

Points win games that's why TD's are so important. Don't try and ignore the fact the D only allowed 3 points and gave the Offense plenty of opportunities to put the game away early. These critical things only gets us playing better and makes them a better Football Team.

I’m not, but the D also gave up 19 pts in the 2nd half. The O didn’t play well in the 3rd quarter but either did the damn D! I’ve said that multiple times now.
