That's right. Raiders and Broncos hype is still far too early. It was early two years ago! Both have a long way to go, and I'd be worried about coaching. Hunter2_1
I have a personal saying when it comes to the NFL. I tend to say it every year. 'The team who is the least stupid will go on to win the Superbowl'. That was terrible last night

Not comparable at all. People put too much emphasis on a TO when the Raiders were going for a FG anyways.

Otherwise, sure? I knew Rodgers was never gonna leave. It was all one big PR play after he won MVP in 2020. His ego is so big he wanted to show people he could do what Favre never could, make the Packers front office bend the knee. If you watch any of his interviews you would know legacy and history are huge to him. One more ring in Green Bay would mean more to him than if he won 2 more at another location. Going down as the undisputed best player in Packers history means something, we aren't the Texans or Cardinals. Put all that aside tho, atleast you heard it come out of his own mouth. He was more than willing to voice his displeasure, unlike Wilson who acted like nothing was going on while he was secretly facilitating a trade for two straight years. I would be hurt too if I was a Seahawks fan.

Watching his post game interview only reinforces that idea. Hackett sounds like he's in way over his head. Not only was that some of the worst clock management I've ever seen but according to him blowing all that time just to kick a field goal from 64 was his plan all along.

It is 10:56am the next day and I still feel like he was trolling everyone with that gameplan. There's just no way a real person came up with that strategy. That's coaching and player discipline. -2 TO's at the 1. The late game clock was on preparation, but also that's where you call TO as a HC. Using MG3 on a dive play at the toughest part of the SEA D is just mind-boggling. -our presnap readiness on O was awful - we got so many plays off with 1-2 secs off it let the SEA know when the ball was coming. That was a major aid to countering the goal-line plays. That's coaching. -ST's were AWFUL. That's coaching. -The 1H D plan was awful. We had PS2 in off coverage on DK Metcalf, and our OLB's in coverage. That changed up in a massive way in the 2H, and we were better. Still, terrible initial game plan. Again on coaching. -The lack of adjustment in the 4Q - calling screens and runs when SEA adapted to this late. -That game management decision. The good news - Wilson was fine, and the O really moved the ball - until penalties/TO/game management stalled us. The bad news is that our ILB plays is atrocious, and teams will keep exploiting it (even when we get Josey Jewell back, that only addresses 1 spot). The encouraging part is the 2H D adjustment, and our secondary / run D and pass rush are all going to keep getting better (Gregory just back from limited TC, Browning getting more snaps). The talent increase is very real. But we're a lot further behind in the coaching dep't even with the knowledge it's a 1st year staff, than we'd hoped. Tonight showed why any team can win - I gave SEA a 20 percent chance to win, because stuff like the above can happen - and even then, it took until the biggest boneheaded game management blunder to give it away. Still, that also means Hackett & his staff have a LONG way to go before they can be on the same level as other teams they want to rise above. I got news for you about the pre-snap awareness.... This has been something Wilson has done for years. He's always taken the game clock up to the final second in Seattle. It's a certain quirk that Wilson has. Nbanflguy
Idc about the optics or the money owed or anything. If I am the Broncos I fire Hackett today. The whole game was dreadful and it wasn’t rookie coach mistakes. No coach worth anything would let that happen. It’s clear he doesn’t have it and you are wasting time by keeping him
lancerman
Between Vance Joseph, Vic Fangio, and now Hackett…. Broncos are very questionable when it comes to HC hires. That franchise should be able to attract someone better.
