how'd the Iggles play yesterday?

They looked good offensively as the game wore on but the defense let the Lions back into the game. There seemed to be a lot of long runs from the LIons but that's me watching highlights.

The Lions offense gave the Philly defense all they could handle.  The Lions defense was fairly effective for 3 quarters.

In the 4th quarter, it seemed like Hurts came alive extending plays.  He isn't the most disciplined QB the Vikings will face, but, he is trouble to control when he's on.

They struggled the past few years with mobile QBs, but this is a whole new defense.  We'll see how it goes.  Keep Hurts in the pocket, forcing him to pass, and I think they'll do okay.  I still have no belief in the Eagles and think they are the most over-hyped team in the entire NFL.  They could prove me wrong, but that's where I stand at this point.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown made quite the first impression in his Eagles debut. Brown caught 10 passes for 155 yards to help propel the Eagles to a 38-35 win in Detroit. That set a new franchise record for most receiving yards in a player’s first game with the Eagles and Brown said after the game that “it’s kind of overwhelming that I get to scratch my name in that book.”

While Brown will be a big part of offensive coordinator Shane Steichen’s plans every week, he expects there will be some weeks when DeVonta Smith or Dallas Goedert winds up setting the pace for the offense.

Pat Pete needs to step up in week 2. He looked lost on a few snaps against GB

I think some of that was due to getting the slots in the right place and then reacting late to the snap. Aaron Rodgers is good at recognizing and exploiting that. I think a combination of seeing that on tape and learning, and not having to face someone as experienced and savvy as Rodgers will make our corners look better. They'll have to win physically against much better WRs, though...

Got very lucky on that first throw to Watson when he got tangled up trying to flip his hips.
