Just Want A Title
Has there been any more concrete information on the potential return dates of Josh Pascal and Jameson Williams? I haven' seen any updates on timelines for their return. I figured after two games we might hear something? Has anyone heard anything? Superduperman
Nah I wouldn't expect any concrete info. It's hard enough to get specific info on the active guys who are hurt. Guys on the IR, probably won't hear anything on them till they get activated.

Sllim Pickens
They are definitely out at least four weeks, so I wouldn't really expect much until it gets close to time they can return. I honestly don't expect Jameo until week 8 or so.. Anything earlier would be nice but he tore his knee in January, guys like Dobbins did last August and still aren't back. We need to be cautious and not rush him back but the fact he is running and cutting is positive but he can't practice until after week 4 and even if he is cleared for contact then, it will take some time to get up to speed. LionArkie
I'd almost prefer to keep Jameson out until next year. I know a lot of people don't want to hear that, but at best we will be playing for a wild card spot...AT BEST. I still think we will be flirting with .500 (6-8 wins). So why bring him in and risk it? For valuable reps? Nah... I'd rather red shirt him.
LionArkie
But if we go on a tear and look to be a playoff team... then I will completely change my mind.

Even if it only winds up being 6-8 games with limited snaps, it's better than essentially going into next year as a fresh faced rookie and having to learn the speed of the game on the fly. I'd also be happy for that wildcard spot given where we've been in the last few years. It'd be a huge step after a 3 win season.

If he is healthy and cleared, play him. If he doesn't get healthy and ends up like Dobbins, then sure, you sit him but the experience in games is worth it. Also, if we are an 7 win team without him, we could be a 9 or 10 win team with him. So why not try for the best. If we aren't fighting for a top draft pick, I want as many wins as possible to help momentum going into next year.
Louis Friend
I think having a week six bye is huge for getting guys back healthy.

Agreed, and makes for a likely transition time to insert some guys like Paschal and Williams who havent practiced much into the rotation.

For whatever reason I was thinking there would be only 3 or 4 games left and I honestly didn't see the point. If that was the case, I'd hold to the opinion of waiting until next year. So if he could return in December, then I think I'd just prefer to wait if there is no chance at the playoffs. But since there could be around 8-10 games left when he returns, he should come back.
