I would assume Chris Harris.

Better question: do we think it will matter?

Chris Harris is probably the most tenured but his unit has been a constant problem.  If anything he should be on the hot seat and I don't think he has any experience as a coordinator.

I think it is just a good thought experiment because if the defensive woes continue, Rivera is going to have to make a move and he has to consider what that will look like.  I want JDR fired but I am not sure we have an option.  To me there is no one on the staff who can appropriately handle it and the only real answer is Rivera himself.

It is almost like JDR purposely hired a weak staff below him.

Fair point.

If that's the case though, do we think Rivera can successfully wear three hats? (I suspect you know my answer when he currently only has two)

He’s not getting canned even if he runs the 32nd defense. Coaches on the hot seat make changes, and the “stability” of Rivera is all that Snyder has.

Honest question: what do we think the "Rivera is safe from being fired because of the ****storm swirling around Snyder unless he doesn't exceed X wins" threshold is? Six games? Five?

Because right now, I might take the under.

I think it wild need to be catastrophic. 3 or less wins. I’m not convinced the seat is hot at all. “We know the character of the man at the helm and how committed he is to turning this around”

Jason Wright will come on and tell us how it’s hard to win in the NFL and social media is unfair to the team, then they’ll trot out Julie Donaldson to walk through a new alumni appreciation event next to the dumpsters out back.

If we go 1-16 for this season and start out 1-4 next season (or close to it), then Rivera is gone.

Anything over that, the guy is Coach for Life (TM)
