SteelKing728
So, who here is ready for Chicago vs Washington? haha Aside from the Vikings game, what outcomes this week would benefit our team?

Is there any way both teams could lose? Because that's what they deserve... The Ravens taking down the Giants would help. I'd like to see Atlanta take down San Francisco. The Cowboys/Eagles game has the biggest implication for the Vikings though. If Dallas wins, and the Vikings handle the Dolphins, I think that makes the Vikings the #1 seed in the NFC. Sure, a lot will change over the next 11 weeks, but I don't know if any of us could have hoped to be in this position going into Week 6.

Yep, we'll have to finish a game ahead of them to be #1...which is possible, considering how (surprisingly) good the NFC East has been thus far. The Eagles hold the head to head tiebreaker, but if Dallas wins they’d also be 5-1 and lead the NFC East over Philly. If there are 3 or more 5-1 teams, then the tiebreaker becomes conference record. And since everyone else at potentially 5-1 would all be in the NFC East, the tiebreaker would first be conference record, and since Dallas and Minnesota would have the same conference record, the tiebreaker would then fall to record against common opponents between Minnesota and Dallas, as they would be the two division leaders. So, Dallas 1-0 against Philly would give them the #1 seed over the Vikings, who are 0-1 against Philly. The Vikings, with a win over Miami would still be the #2 seed. wcblack34
So the moral of the story is that we still want Dallas to beat Philly, right?

Isn't there a minimum of four common opponents for the common opponents step to be considered? Then you look at strength of victory for Minnesota and Dallas to determine why is the higher seed. https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures

SemperFeist
Someone save Justin Fields. No QB deserves this.
wcblack34
Justin Fields should convert to TE, or the Bears should hire Josh McDaniels to run the Tebow offense.
vikingsrule
Why did Fields look so good against us last week? Kind of figured he’d return back to form.
