Race for the #1 pick

If Houston plays like it has over the past month, against KC/DAL/TEN, then it should win this game. If they pull a move like the Eagles a couple years ago (like we should) in order to help their draft pick, i think they lose, but would still be close

But what could that move even be at this point for them? Their QBs are just different shades of Bad. I guess Davis Mills is the best of the bunch but that isnt saying much. Indy has already played their card with Sam Ellinger going out there.

I think its going to be very entertaining to watch this tanking mess

Their game should go the same way as ours should (but for both teams in their case): Anyone who matters and who is under contract for 2023 should sit (Tunsil, Pitre, Stingley, Pittman, Q. Nelson, Buckner).

If I were Flus then Herbert, Kmet, Gordon and Brisker are all sitting or playing very sparingly on Sunday while Ebner, Velus, Leatherwood, Carter, Ojemudia and Hicks play starter reps. Play like it’s late August. Game should be over by 2:45. I expect MIN to play their starters until the game is in hand and then pull their starters in the 2H.

I just got to thinking: what if Indy rests a lot of their players? They need a loss too, and a Texans win not only helps that but it also means they may not have to deal with Bryce Young for the next decade

Come on Jeff! Do the right thing and rest Pittman, Nelson, Kelly, Smith, Buckner and Gilmore! (are those their only good players? 🤷🏻‍♂️😅)

Not only that, but a win coupled with a Rams loss (@SEA) moves IND down a spot in the draft too from 5-6 which only increases the cost should they want to trade up for a QB.

Neither of them has anything to gain from winning, and the Bears can only pass HOU if they win. The league would never allow it, but both teams could argue they’re best served just kneeling for 70 straight minutes and taking a tie. Both would maintain their current draft position.

I forget who it as last year who could both get into the playoffs with a tie (and they went to OT) but its shocking that no game has ever turned into the coaches signaling to each other that they are just going to run it up the gut on every play, especially when it comes to draft position.

I think there are a few teams out there who will lose more games than we win if you see what I mean...

Carolina

Houston

Washington

Are locks...

I also think Arizona could fall apart like they have in the past few years...Detroit still don't convince me at all...Steelers I think will get dragged into it given their offence can't do much either...Raiders maybe? I think we will all be in the mix come the end of the year...no doubt we could be picking in the top 5 but I also think as every week in the NFL shows you just never know who is going to beat who...it's what makes things so compelling...also one injury to a start QB for most teams and it changes everything.

LOCKS
