Raider Trade Deadline Talk

Good, it's time to move on from those bums.  Ferrell is worthless and Abram is a massive liability in coverage.  Two classic Grudock bum picks.

Hopefull DZ can pull off a deal for a 3T who can generate some kind of pressure up the middle or a WR with some speed to stretch the field.

I feel bad for Ferrell to the extent it’s not his fault he was over drafted just like DHB they were never going to come close to justifying.

Ferrell pick was as bad as it gets. Nobody had him in the top 20 of any draft. Makes things worse is we let go of Denico Autry in place of him

However, former busts like Jihad Ward are thriving in the league so I wouldn’t be surprised if a changed of scenery worked out

I’m not sure how much say Reggie McKenzie had at that point it baffles me that one of his/his scouts finds let walk

Agreed. Hated the Ferrell pick. I wanted Josh Allen.

I remember hating the DHB pick too. Dude had the worst hands ever, could only run like 2 routes, and had no ability to track the ball on fly routes. All he could do was run fast. Should have converted him to DB.

The DHB was the pinnacle of Al Davis (rest his soul) crazy like a fox type move. I’m pretty sure the “ Hire a GM “ billboards were already up on the freeway by then lol

On the subject of DHB. I always thought he would have made an awesome RB - his only real fault was his ability to, you know, catch the ball. I suppose a little bit like Cordarelle Paterson - failed WR, very good RB.

Yeah, if we had drafted him in the 3rd or 4th round and he had become a role player / back-up no one would have batted an eyelid, but #4 overall was always going to be a mill round his neck.

For how overrated I thought Hue Jackson was by a portion of Raider fans. He got the most out of DHB iirc majority of his stuff was more possession type routes Hitches etc

Good point. Patterson has had resurgence at RB.

Ironically McFadden would of been a better WR and DHB a better RB

Those hue teams were fun. I remember DHB was a reach but was rooting for him. He had alot of haters from fans and non Raider fans. DHB wasn’t great but wasn’t scared to go over the middle and played hard. I remember being excited at the potential of DHB, Jacoby Ford, D Moore. Maybe I was bias but I was surprised they flamed out so fast. Hue had the offense looking good, he just gave up too much for Palmer. He also started to come off shady and power hungry. Palmer wasn’t bad, but gave up too many assets
