Tariq Woolen is balling too. I have no idea who Jack Jones is.

4th rounder out of ASU. Dude’s a little smaller than you’d like (older too, he’s turning 25 in December) but he was another guy that showed polish early on. He’s been playing extremely well for NE so far.

Why cant the Steelers ever get corners like this?

Because your team never sucks bad enough to get them, unless they hit FA. I mean yeah, you could get lucky and hit on a Tariq Woolen later in the draft, but those CB's you think will be Home Runs even before they get drafted, like Sauce or PP, go early.

He was the guy who robbed a burger joint, right?

Close, he broke into a Panda Express at like 3AM. Felony burg.

EDIT: Also lost a season of eligibility to “focus on grades”. Guy was super immature at best, but the whole talk was that if you buried him in football and got him to focus, he had the skill set.

Would have gotten away with it too, had he taken a moment to read his fortune cookie.

Dude’s debatably not even the best rookie corner…..

Should be noted that woolen does have 6 penalties

The level of talent at the CB position that has entered the league the last two years is INSANE.  Think about how many guys drafted this year and last year are already playing at a high level.  You have the rookies listed so far in this thread + Stingley (well to be fair I haven't heard much about him, but he was a Day 1 Starter), last year you got Horn (allowing the lowest passer rating), Surtain, Samuel Jr.  Heck even going to 2020, you've got Trevon Diggs, AJ Terrell, Jaylon Johnson, Lions fans would now better than me but I heard Okudah has really stepped up this year too right?  I mean sheesh.  So many legit #1s and playmakers in that group.

I wonder if this is a trend going forward or if the position has simply had a lucky 3-year run.  I feel like it is rare for us to see this many young CBs playing at such a high level.

It is the field responding to the ridiculous amount of young receiver talent that has come in the past 3 years.
