marshpit23
Looking forward to another closely fought battle. A win would be huge at this point in the season. We are the better team and should take home the turkey ?
vike daddy
The Lions have won the previous three meetings between these clubs and all three have been nail-biters that came down to the wire, with one of them even going into overtime. The Lions three wins over Minnesota have come by a combined 16 points. Turnovers at key points, clock management and special teams execution have all been critical in these close games, and they figure to help determine the winner on Thursday, too. The Vikings have been excellent in critical situations of late, scoring 10 touchdowns on their last 12 trips to the red zone and executing well on both sides of the ball on 3rd down, where the offense converts 45.6% of the time (No. 4 in the NFL) and the defense holds opponents to a 28.6% mark, No. 1 in the NFL. You're behind "the ball" as I already posted that in the Keenum thread.
vike daddy
well, seems fitting the quote should be in a pair of threads then. eeewww, you don't think Zimmer is going to talk about Case having a great sack presence...?

Having Robison back would be nice but I love seeing the young DEs out there.
swede700
Agree. I suspect none of those 3 will play...and they'll just rest up for the game at the Birds Nest.

How? first of all, technically there was no practice yesterday, just a walkthrough. and the players' status yesterday was listed AS IF there had been a practice, as required for those playing a Thursday game. so maybe he was in the cold tub or getting massages all day. vike daddy
The Lions have not ranked higher than 28th in rushing yards per game since finishing 17th in 2013, which was also the last year that the Lions had a running back go for 100 yards in a game. Reggie Bush pulled it off on Thanksgiving that year and the team has now played 62 games without anyone matching Bush’s accomplishment. That’s a streak no other team has matched in over two decades. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/11/22/lions-last-had-a-100-yard-rusher-on-thanksgiving-in-2013/
vikingsrule
Abdullah had 20 carries for 94 yards and a TD in the first game. MN needs to tackle better this time around.
