With Hopkins playing, this will be a big test for the defense.  If the Vikings D plays "bend, don't break" defense, I think Murray, Hopkins, Hollywood, et al, will have a big day.  Need to contain Murray, and the secondary needs to play better than they've all season.

On offense, I think the Vikings will be able to run on the Arizona defense.  Get Kirk outside the edge rushers on designed play action roll outs.

I believe Hollywood is out for 6 weeks. Still, Robbie Anderson, Dortch, Ertz and the rest are a solid group behing Hopkins.

In the last 40 years, the Vikings are 14-5 vs. the Cardinals.  They would be 15-4 were it not for Greg Joseph last season.  That game is the only time the Vikings have faced Murray, and while he managed to throw for a lot of yards, he also threw 2 picks.  With a more ball-hawking version of the defense, I do expect a lot of yards again, but they can force him into mistakes.  And it wasn't Hopkins that killed them last year, it was Rondale Moore, who is again playing the slot.  So, keep him in check and they should be fine, as I'm not nearly as concerned about the outside receivers, despite their household names.

The Minnesota Vikings come out of their bye week to play a home game against the Arizona Cardinals and currently sit as a 4.5-point favorite per Tipico Sportsbook. The Vikings are currently 3-0 at home on the season with two come-from-behind wins.

The Cardinals enter the games as a 3-4 football team. They are at their best on the road where they currently have a 2-1 record on the season.

Skol Vikes!!

Should be a good test for our defense with the mobile Kyler Murray and an elite WR in Nuk Hopkins. It will also be interesting to see how our OL holds up against JJ, albeit he’s getting up there in age he’s still a stout pass rusher.

Also interested in seeing how this team under KOC look for the first time coming outta a bye week, hopefully we play dominate football and we can start a positive trend.

I'm a little more worried about this game than others. While Murry has many question marks, he's still a good quarterback that can make things happen with his arm and legs and our favorite team has repeatedly struggled against mobile quarterbacks. Add Nuk Hopkins being back with Robbie Anderson and you have a dangerous passing attack. Our Defense has seen it's most success when the front 4 are getting pressure and getting home, I'm not sure if they'll be able to do that with Murry.

I agree with your points, except referring to Kyler as a "good" quarterback is a stretch to me.  🤣

If Hopkins wasnt back I would like our chances a bit more. AZ wasnt playing that great to start the year, and their run game outside of Murray has been inconsistent. I think O'Conner is back this week but that doesnt mean much to me. I think we can contain the run game and then just sit back and rush the passer hard co. I would like to put a spy on Murray though, he isnt going to stay in the pocket.

It should be another close game, but i think Joseph redeems himself and gets the game winner this time.
