N4L
I figured it was time to flush last week's debacle and turn the page to this week. We have obviously had our way with the Rams in the regular season by being super physical. Last year, in the nfccg, we were extremely banged up after playing so many games on the road and on a concrete frozen field in GB. It certainly cost us. We weren't able to out muscle them. Typically, we use their DLs aggressiveness against them, but in that game they dropped anchor and clogged running lanes and it was difficult for our OL to double team then get to the second level. Later in the game they started firing off the ball and it caught us off guard and our OL were on their heels. They won't be able to do that this time around though since we should have better success running to the edge with CMC. CMC is a bit of an x factor this week. He looked REAL GOOD last week and brings something to this run game we have never had to this level. He is just so damn explosive and his traits are elite elite. Feels like we are extremely banged up this week again, while the Rams are coming off their bye. I know everyone thinks we will just beat the Rams and get back to 4-4 but the Rams aren't going to just lay down. It's not going to be an easy game. McVay off the bye has a phenomenal record from what I remember. The Rams OL has been bad, but you'd think they would have gotten some of that sorted out during the bye week. Stafford was extremely banged up, but you'd think he would be the healthiest he's been all year. KC may have provided the blue print on how to slow down Bosa. We really need other DLman to step up, this D goes as they go. Most of all I think this team needs to cut down on the penalties and the turnovers. Jimmy cannot be so careless with the football. He needs to understand when the Rams are blitzing, because they are absolutely going to blitz him given how he looked under pressure last week and how bad he is at understanding who is hot and how to make them pay. Finally we used to be such a good tackling team but it seems like the whole back end of our defense cannot tackle anymore. It's a problem against Kupp. Winable game, but the best version of the 49ers needs to show up and sometimes that doesn't happen. J-ALL-DAY
While we have won seven consecutive games against the Rams in the regular season, the games in LA have generally been straight dog fights, including the NFCCG last year. I wouldn't expect anything less this week. Deebo has been the Rams killer but he has a hamstring strain and may not go. Juice will be out with a broken finger and we are already dealing with a depleted DL. I did not catch an update on Greenlaw but he also got banged up in the Chiefs game. We have to make decision on Verrett this week and I suspect we activate him but I don't think he will be on the active game day roster this game. What I do think though is that both Mooney and Jimmie will be better this week and Bosa will be closer to form opposed to last week. Armstead is the big question mark that we badly need back asap. I said it a few weeks ago that you could get away with one of Kinlaw or Armstead being out but not both. IF Deebo can't go, I expect Kittle to get 12-15 targets and have another big game. Ramsey will be lined up on Aiyuk but it shouldn't deter Jimmy from going his way. Aiyuk is just a man killer and should get his fair share of targets regardless. And then lastly CMC…. I would put the over/under on his touches to 19.5 LOL. He's getting fed and will getting fed early and often. SF 24 LAR 17
NinerNation21
Why does it feel like every time we play the Rams it's a must-win game to right the ship?

SF 28 LAR 13 Yeah, I can get on board with this. Honestly, I still think this is an 11 or 12 win team that will be hosting at least 1, if not more, playoff games at Levi's.
clarkfn2284
In order to win this game the Niners will need to run the ball 40 times. I expect a lot of CMC and Wilson. Defense in turn has to get pressure and capitalize on the turnovers Stafford will provide. HE, like Jimmy will gift you a couple per game. Difference is he will gain it back on offense.

StevenK
With the possibility of Deebo not playing, I expect A LOT of running especially with his new toy, CMC. CMC and Wilson will get a lot of touches and then it will open up the PA to Kittle and Aiyuk. I know Juice isn’t playing, so that means we’ll more than likely run out of the shotgun or get a lot of motion going pre-snap. Blanket on def like we did last time and we’ll be fine. SF - 24 LA - 13 My biggest fear is that Kyle abuses CMC. I could see him ride him into the ground and getting him nicked up or even worse even though you have 4 RBs you can use. CMC should be getting 15-17 touches a game. Mitchell should be getting around 7-8 carries himself. The running game should be so good and versatile. I mean even Wilson is running the ball very well. Either way, no need to run CMC to the ground with what we have in the backfield.
