Week 8: Titans @ Texans

It seems to not matter if one team is notably better than the other in this series, the games are nearly always close. May be no better example of this than last year, when Houston was the team to end our 6 game winning streak in week 11 and gave us all we could handle in the final week of the season as we tried to lock up the 1 seed.

Tannehill might miss his first start as a Titan after his ankle injury against the Colts, which would shove Malik Willis in to the starting role. While it's always hard to say how a rookie QB is going to perform, what we can expect regardless of who is starting is of course a huge dose of Derrick Henry. While he's always a huge part of our gameplan, the injury to Tannehill and the fact that we're going against the 4th worst rushing defense in terms of total yards allowed and also 4th worst in YPC means we might see his largest carry total in his career.

Win this game and the team takes a commanding lead in the playoff race.  Then hell, rest the dang starters against the Chiefs and try to get some people healthy.

Broncos should be a win if we don't collapse in on ourselves.  Packers actually look awful too.

Win those three, and all you have to do is steal a couple of wins from the Texans, ChargIRs, and Jagsx2 and you're almost guaranteed into the playoffs with how the rest of the AFCS is playing.

So we'll probably lose.  Yall know we can't make it easy on ourselves.

has nothing to do w/ RT's health, how this year is going, etc

this is a game/matchup (clearly inferior opponent regardless if we're banged up) that we lose. Not me being pessimistic..it's just how things have been w/ this team. Houston/Jets last year..Cincy year prior...

Honestly I was just typing up how outside yesterdays game I've read every week how this team is bad and this is the week that the bad team beats us and it hit me.. Lose to the basement texans and beat the unstoppable Chiefs lmao. About the most titan thing we can do lol

We have the Texans while the Jags have the Broncos and the Colts have the Commanders.  We don't win this game and it's possible that the division lead suddenly becomes tenuous.

Other than this week, Colts still have the Steelers, Chargers, and Texans at home, and the Pats and Raiders on the road.  They aren't instilling confidence, especially with a new QB, but all of those are winnable games.  Jags have the Broncos and Raiders at home, us twice, and the Lions and Texans on the road.

Colts could easily finish 9-6-1, and the Jags 8-8 if they just win their "winnable" games and split with us.

On the other hand, if we win and they both lose, it becomes very difficult for either of them to get ahead of us.

I really like what Conley can bring as a 4th/5th type guy. Problem is he might be our 2nd best guy we can suit up which is crazy.

Again nothing will matter till we fix LT. Fix that it opens things up in the playbook so much..

Defense wise Im looking for the same stuff. Give up yards. One drive that makes it look like the game is slipping away. Clamp down on 3rd downs and in the RZ and get a couple turnovers. And a whole lot of SACKKKKS. 20-23 points should put them away

Oddly more nervous about this game then I was vs the colts BOTH times and the raiders -___- Expectations are back after winning four in a row. Team is feeling good about the colts and 5 in a row blah blah This is a trap game if Ive ever seen one and Hou is always amped up for us lol. Need this one tho frfr
