Quinn traded to Eagles

Been crazy busy so this is the first I've seen of this. Not a bad return. I kind of wanted to trade him for a late/comp 3rd but trading him for a 4th now prevents his stock from dripping due to injury. This is the safer move.

Also let's Poles/Flubby get more of a look at Gipson and Robinson to see if we need 2 starting DEs for next year or just 1.

I’d be curious if someone would be interested in Monty? Like the Rams who missed out on McCaffery

(I actually wouldt hate brining him back on a short term deal, but he’s sure not on the top of our priority list)

As well as Eddie Jackson, not that we need to move him, but if someone was desperate  and wanted to severely overpay, it would t break my heart

Is the team taking the cap hit for just this season or does it spill over to next year?

Bears take his full cap hit for this season (minus ~700k which is the minimum salary the Eagles could pay to have him on their roster). Bears take ~8.5M in dead money in 2023 from Quinn's signing bonus.

I don't think we need to spend the whole $130 million...the point is no one is off limits...say Bradley Chubb doesn't get traded before the deadline...we can easily be in the running for him now because we have cleared both Mack & Quinn's salary off the books...getting 27 year old quality pass rusher like that could make a massive difference to this franchise and allow us to still target several other players at key spots while continuing to build through the draft.

I’d like Marcus Davenport over Chubb, but would be thrilled with either. Your point about nobody being off limits cost-wise is spot on though.

Davenport was a draft crush of mine, I believe I drafted him in the first and Harold Landry in the 2nd. That being said he has disappeared for a lot of this season. Wonder if that means he will be at a discounted rate this offseason.

Ok you're right. He's been awesome, probably the front runner for DROY 🙄

I was bored and looked this up on draft kings haha.....

The list is basically all the top secondary guys and Brisker is actually on there which is cool....as far as DL its pretty much just Thibedeaux, Hutchinson, the usual suspects.....Robinson is dope....like I said 5th round guy....why would he be DROY? He can just be good

Honestly I think BAL could use him and he would do damn well there

I never said he hasn't been good or better than expected. I just said he hasn't been AWESOME

Alright, we are basically just talking semantics about what the word awesome means...he literally has more sacks than the person this thread is about(haha) and is playing at the level of the first round guys.

My only point was, we are basically getting a 4th for somebody that probably should have beeen benched anyway...and that im optimistic about Robinson

I dont think Quinn should have been benched, He has been playing fine, just not jumping off the page like last year.

I like alot of what Ive seen from Robinson and Gipson, but neither have proven to be an every down DE to this point. They are about to get alot more reps going forward, I hope one proves they can hold up as more than a rush specialist.
