Been out there for awhile EA was doing some Marvel games. Make it official today.

Right now 3 games

  • Iron Man by Motive, furthest along… reportedly entering playtesting soon
  • Black Panther by the new Washington studio. Roughly due like 2025
  • 3rd is unknown (both Studio and character)

A Thor game could have a very fun combat system. Captain America during WWII would be different.

Both would be nice, they had that ok WW2 Cap game that was a tie-in. But would be better to do a non-MCU one though.

Want a Doctor Strange one, been rumors Remedy might be doing one but seems less likely with Alan Wake 2 + the Control sequels.

I would say "that sucks", but Marvel hasnt had a decent video game in a LONG time.    Well...Spidey PS5, but thats Sony Marvel.

However, once again, EA acquires a massive IP, and will likely put out an average at best game, hoping its name can carry it to bigger sales.

Lame.

Exclusivity like this sucks because it severely limits the amount of games that can be made within the IP - even for a studio like EA. They had Star Wars and did nothing with it for years. Games take three, four, five years to make now so you should be letting as many different studios as possible handle it unless you want massive gaps between releases.

I don’t think it’s exclusive, just the 3 games they get to use Marvel IP for.
