Throw could have been better. Don't get why Smythe didn't have his head turned sooner. He had no one around him so he's gotta get his eyes back to the QB right?

Because he is rusty at route running.  He looked a bit lost in all that space and I suspect he needs to get more practice in his routes.

The 4th down throw to Smythe was much more him than Tua.  But Tua needs to lead Waddle a little more and the game is iced.  Very unusual iffy performance in the 4th quarter for Tua today.  But he was about perfect the rest of the game, so it is what it is.  I could also quibble about the play-calling in the 4th, but it wasn't abysmal.

On defense, Phillips has an absolutely putrid day.  Could have been the quad injury, but who knows.  He continuously failed to contain Fields, which is the one thing you can't do.  Fields ran all over the place at will.  Their RBs did absolutely nothing, and Fields only threw for 123 yards.  But none of that matters when Fields can scramble for 12 yards every dang play.  Chubb just missed a sack on 2 separate plays and was generally creating pressures in his limited snaps.  Would have been nice to see him finish those 2 though.

I couldn’t tell from the camera angle if contain was on Phillips or not on a couple plays where Fields broke outside the OT.  We run a stupid weird scheme and it can be tricky to tell when contain is on the edge or someone else.
