Paying won't help, but he is also the entire engine the team is built on right now. God, building teams is so fun!

MOSteelers56
Welp, @3rivers, time for me to eat some crow. We actually traded someone.
SMashMouthMike
Well, really don’t understand that for the bears if true. One day let LB RSmith go. The next sign Claypool. I like this for the Steelers. Means they like George Pickens just as much as Claypool. Now cut bush and trade Johnson please. MOSteelers56
We should have a couple good 2nd rounders now. The Bears will probably convey to a highish one just like ours.
MOSteelers56
Welp, actually we got the Ravens 2nd that they just got from Roquan. Still exciting, but not nearly as much.

warfelg
Not gonna lie, a little saddened by this. Not because Claypool was some stud but because I think Canada had no clue how to use him.

Had an extra thought today on Claypool: if we are going to be active in FA these next two years, we were never going to get a comp pick for him in the first place. Taking a second is a nice asset return.
SMashMouthMike
They really must have worried about him going to GB? Anyways. Good luck Mapletron.

Chieferific
It would have been nice to have Austin fill that Slot role now.

Also not having Austin hurts, but I think we can use Sims as a “de facto” Austin stand in rather than Claypool.
