swede700
Here's his profile from 2019 on Vikings.com: Quote A well-rounded player: Hockenson was asked by a media member at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine which he enjoys more: making a highlight-reel catch or delivering an impressive block. "I mean, they're both pretty fun," Hockenson said. "I mean, honestly, I love to block. I love to run routes. I just really pride myself on doing both. That I can do everything that the job requires as a tight end. That's what I try to do." https://www.vikings.com/news/prospect-profile-iowa-te-t-j-hockenson

I believe Bryan Koback has 38 on our PS, would probably be easy to obtain.

Kparty15
I’d love to see him wear #40 like the great Jimmy Kleinsasser used to wear!

Captain Relax
Let's worry about the contract questions when they have to be dealt with. This is a great move for this season! Kwesi is a boss!!!
Kparty15
I can’t wait until Hoeckenson and Smith Jr are both healthy in the playoffs! It would be amazing to see them used together the same way that New England used Gronk and Hernandez!

I wouldn't be fond of it either, but he certainly would have a chance to make the number 38 iconic, since according to one source, the greatest player in NFL history to wear the number was a QB for the Packers from 1930-40 by the name of Arnie Herber.
