Jones though because he's going to the focal/center point of the offense if/when Rodgers leaves. Any way you slice it, if Rodgers isnt in town next year its hard on the cap. Which really just means theres no grace period for Love. (He also doesnt benefit from the cash being in his pocket). If Love balls out, the cap hit doesnt really matter cuz thats the hit top end QBs have anyways. If he's bad, or just not top notch, this makes it much tougher to add talent around him to ease him into the league. But youre hoping that the time on the bench learning negates the need to have top end vets at all the skills.
