Devilshark69
You know what’s sad? We can write 500 pages of debate on Carr, coaches, Davis, Gruden....etc. and 1 person is all that has posted here.....so, much love and respect to you 2 who did first of all....and RIP to Ray Guy, he’s hangin with John, Kenny, Cliff and many many others in Raider heaven!! No offense to lechler or Cole..... but absolutely the best to ever do it at his position, period. Modern training techniques would have him averaging 60yds....as an avg. Hell, bum Phillips had one of his balls tested for helium content.... for you new schoolers.... that’s wades pops!..... lol!! Another absolute legend gone.... I’m getting old....smh + lol. big_palooka
Ray Guy started a legacy of great punters to wear silver and black. He was an athlete who could also punt. Mastered the forgotten art of the corner coffin kick. Some of the fakes he ran were ridiculous: Props to whomever posted that to youtube. RIP #8
drfrey13
He was before my time but hearing how older Raiders fans talked about him let me know how great he was since he was a punter. I hope he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Edited November 4, 2022 by drfrey13
BackinBlack
loved the coffin corner. Ray seemed to be the best at it, and its a lost art in the nfl. I have no idea why. BEfore my time, but def have heard tons and tons of ray throughout the years. glad he got into the HOF in his lifetime.
Devilshark69
If any punter deserved it, it’s him for sure. He was awesome to watch!! That’s saying something for a punter.👍
Dessie
RIP Ray Guy always remember the picture of him catching the ball one handed v Redskins in the Super Bowl. Like @big_palooka says he started the run of great punters we took.

jpaulthe1st
RIP Ray Guy I was born in 81 so the first Raiders punter I remember is Jeff Gossett. Anybody remember Leo Araguz?
