Of course later on we took Tony Mandarich over Barry Sanders....Another great opportunity missed....What's ironic is Mandarich would go on to play later in Indianapolis for the coach (Lindy Infante) who drafted him....

Who was the primary recruiter to get Mandarich to come to Michigan St???

.... Nick Saban.

They will have the number one lined up in week 17, then they will win week 18,  Similar to the Jets few years back…

They're not tripping into the #1 pick even if they wanted to.  They're not Texans bad.

The Packer had the #1 pick in the bag for the 1989 draft.  All we had to do is lose the last week.  They won which moved Dallas to #1 (Aikman) and we took Mandarich at #2.

A top five pick all I'm aiming for at this point, and it seems very doable. Bad enough to be in position for one of the three QBs or Carter/Anderson.

In an ideal world they get a top three pick, and a team from #4 or #5 wants to trade up for a QB. Packers pick up a franchise defender and a pick for their troubles.

3 QBs?  There's literally two legit QB prospects.
