So....people that know Abram say to play him at ILB (or near the LOS) and hope that he can make the tackle.  

And we drafted Walker to be on the field with Campbell at all times.

While I like the idea of Salvaging Savage at star and putting Ford or Abram at safety, I feel like it is far more likely that Abram is a specials player for us.

But...I like the move.  No risk.  Let's see what happens.

I’m hoping this means Savage playing nickel, Abrams near the box, Amos back deep, and more man coverage on the outside.  
 

Given his contract, they clearly claimed him with the intent on giving him meaningful snaps

Maybe Quay can get some Edge snaps if Abram plays some LB

Do you think that Quay could hold up out there?  I think that just invites a run at his location.  I do think that he could be utilized as a blitzer more often.

I think it could work on obvious passing downs

With Gary out and Tipa not quite back yet, I would give that a shot.  Kind of the idea with the bigger ILBs, Quay and Campbell, that they would be better at that than a guy with the stature of say, Blake Martinez.  And it isn't like Garvin (who has been my dude) or Hamilton have really shown that they deserve more PT.

It took years for gary to develop, i am still hoping garvin can put it together. He is so large and explosive. He physically stands out on the field and has a nice bull rush. Not sure how he is having as much trouble as he is.
